From the moment we stepped inside the grounds of Kandalama Lodge, it felt relaxed and inviting. Each little villa was beautifully furnished with a comfortable verandah area to sit and a very spacious outdoor bathroom This was in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of Dambula and was perfect for visiting sites within the area, such as Dambula cave temples, Sigiriya, Pidurangala, Anuradhapura & Polonnaruwa They have a resident tuk tuk driver Amila whom will take you anywhere you would like to go safely and with helpful information and a good price Highly recommend

No pudimos estar mejor... los dueños son increíbles. Te reciben con un te y una buena charla. El sitio es precioso, con piscina que se agradece, mucha tranquilidad, enfrente puedes parar el bus... Además te dan consejos de donde ir, te ofrecen de llevarte en tuktuk si tienen disponibilidad, son muy amables, simpáticos y agradables. Cenamos un día allí i... brutal! Recomendado! Gayani es una cocinera increíble! Lo repetimos: no pudimos estar mejor!

Asela and his wife are absolutely incredible. They helped me in every way possible. I had such a wonderful time during my short stay there. The location of the home stay is quite convenient if you plan to travel around by local buses. The place itself is super cosy and green. You feel like you are in the middle of a jungle. Would recommend and will also come back :)

Dambulla Hills Resort was an excellent base for our stay in the cultural triangle! The team were very welcoming and super helpful when we needed a Tuk Tuk ordering, we even managed to arrange a 4am pick up to hike Pi rock for sunrise (definitely worth it!) We were upgraded to the 5-bed villa as there had been an overlap while booking, so we ended up with a beautiful big property at the end of the estate! I’d definitely recommend this place for a base to explore!
