Above the rooms there is a large opensided common area looking into the treetops. Here meals are served and it is a great place to while away time after an early morning Safari into Sinharaja Forest. The food is home-cooked using ingredients grown on the property, and is spectacular – the best we have encountered in Sri Lanka.

The Location was great and so close to the entrance of Sinharaja rain forest 🌳 The room were clean and had a nice view to the mountains and paddy fields . Specially the food was amazing 🤩 and the mother of the owner was so kind and good person she made me feel like That I stayed in my home with my mother ❤️🙏🏻 as well as she cooks yummy Sri Lankan food that you can try in this place ! I’m definitely gonna stay here again 💯 highly recommend this place

The highlight of our stay was undeniably our incredible host, who spared no effort in ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. From delicious lunches and dinners to delightful surprises and the most mouth-watering fish barbecue - probably the best meal I have had in the two months I have been in Sri Lanka. Beyond the culinary delights, our room was a sanctuary of comfort and style. Immaculately clean, equipped with a kitchen containing everything one could possibly need, and beautifully built and decorated. Originally intending to stay for four nights, we found ourselves captivated by the charm of Charming Dark Lodge, extending our stay to twelve nights. Departing was bittersweet, as we had grown attached to the unparalleled hospitality and the tranquil ambiance of our temporary home. A particularly memorable moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. Our host went above and beyond to ensure it was an unforgettable occasion, adding a personal touch that truly made me feel special. Without a doubt, if I ever find myself in Sri Lanka again, Charming Dark Lodge will be my first choice for accommodation. Objekat Coconut Cabin - Hiriketiya Beach, udaljen oko 2,6 km od znamenitosti Plaža Kudawella, nudi smeštaj sa vrtom i popločanim dvorištem, kao i pogled na vrt. The quiet away from busy beach, at night there are no street lights, just the stars and fireflies. Close to (100m) very vibrant beach and great surf spot, lots of restaurants and parties, but when you are in need of quiet, its just 100m away. The cabin is stylish and clean with a private garden. Beautiful kitchen for light cooking. Easy to communicate with Andy, he really makes an effort to help with everything you need. Highly recommended to have a great holiday in Hiriketiya.

The pool is part jacuzzi, so that was a pleasant surprise. Quiet surroundings with a fantastic paddy field view. Kitchen had all the necessary utensils with a decent supply of spices and condiments. Would definitely come back here.

Amazing place to stay. Best view, surrounded by nature and jungle style. Beautiful house, quiet and private. Really recommend it.

Incredible view and location. Dumith and his family were extremely accommodating, helpful and caring. The room is well-equipped, private, clean and has proper Wifi. It has a really nice terrace where you can listen and watch all sort of birds pass by. We were treated like family members. They always went out of their way to make sure we are comfortable. Dumith was always happy to show us around and accompanied us all the way to Deniyaya city to make sure we get on the right bus. Highly recommended and will be back.
