Excellent location, in the middle of a beautiful valley, with views of the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. The dinner is really excellent, really no reason to go elsewhere. Beautiful stone cottages scattered around the property, with plenty of space to relax as well, in a very green corner of Santo Antao.

The place! Liked the little round rooms and had a great spaghetti meal upon arrival, which was delicious (definitely starving after our hike!). They prepared breakfast for us at 6am so that we could start our hike early.

Casa Xoxo is situated on the end of the beautiful hike from Cha de Mato to Xoxo (other hikes as well). Great to arrive here after the walk and enjoy the view and the great dinner from the shared balcony/terrace. Next morning the pleasant breakfast (with capucha) was also served on the balcony. Unfortunately we didn't go to the waterfall, but had very nice papaya with Antonio a little up in the valley. The hike from Cha de Mato to Xoxo is quite strenuous for your legs, so better not to undertake as your first hike with a multiday backback unless you are well trained or don't mind sore muscles the next day.
