Absolutely beautiful and charming hotel. Loved the decor and the gardens. Helene and Alexandre are wonderful hosts. We had gorgeous breakfasts with homemade yoghurt, bread, pastries and preserves. This was the best hotel of our trip. We loved sitting in the lounge with excellent wine and beer. We did not go out but stayed in the hotel because it was so beautiful and relaxing. On our arrival we were soaked from cycling 50 miles. Helene kindly gave us extra towels and offered to hang up our wet clothes in a special drying room. They are both so kind. We stayed for 2 nights and wished it was longer. We will be back.

Nice room facing a nice interior green area. Shame it was raining heavily.
Breakfast (not included) was very nice.
Parking could be a challenge but we got lucky.
Location on a very busy road, but as the rooms were facing this interior area this was not an issue.

Exquisitely French! If you love French culture you will love this hotel. Situated right in the centre of this stunning historic town and within easy walking distance of a good choice of bars and restaurants but on a quiet square. The staff were very helpful, the room was super clean with a good hot shower and comfortable bed. Optional, traditional breakfast in the morning if desired. Would highly recommend

Beaugency is a typical Loire-side town and ancient bridging point. Well served by the primary routes along the valley the outskirts are those of a modern, bustling market town with all the facilities one would expect. The heart of the old town is found on the northern end of the graceful bridge and is centred on the masive defensive feudal keep. No elegant rennaissance palace, this. A stamp of lordly power from the 12th. & 13th. centuries the castle has echos of Joan of Ark and The Hundred Years War, right down to the present with a major surrender of German forces at the end of the last war. In the old town there are fine buildings and narrow alleys, a charming square with cafes, the excellent coaching inn (L'Ecu de Bretagne), and the remains of the seigneural domaine around the keep. Walks along the river are a little difficult to navigate as the old main road runs along the bank and is very busy. All-in-all, a lovely town for a long stay to explore the Chateaux, the wines and the history of the Loire

Beaugency is a pretty little town and although we have only ever used it as a stop off on our way down south I’m sure you could happily spend a few days here wandering round the old town, visiting the chateau, walking by the river and eating out in the wide range of restaurants.

This is our second overnight stop in Beaugency, so you can tell that we liked it ! There is a good variety of bars and restaurants . There are plenty of shops and supermarkets.
There is also a hypermarket on the edge of town for fuel etc.
Beaugency is a very pleasant place with beautiful buildings.
Beautiful location. Spectacular property with middle age character and charm and amazing views of the Loire. The staff was fantastic, especially Bienvenue, whose smiley and happy disposition is as welcoming as his name. The breakfast is amazing and to have it overlooking the Loire is something unforgettable. Unfortunately the restaurant has been closed for a while for lack of a chef, but we had an amazing dinner at a restaurant within 5 minutes walk from the hotel, called Le P’tit Bateau, run by the Chef and owner and his wife.
This hotel has a cozy atmosphere, well located for visiting castles, and service was amazing. Cocktails and breakfast were worth the price.
Their family room is great value. It’s a real 2 bedroom suite with a shared bathroom. This means that you get to keep your privacy but there is only one exit to the hallway. Your kids don’t have to go out to a public space to get to your room if they get scared at night.
Kid friendly pool also a plus!
Quietly located on a small side street near the Loire river with free parking just 2 minutes walk away. A period property with wood panelling and large airy rooms (great for in a heat wave). Homely furnishings but quite comfortable. Modern kitchen.
For non-tech people, some instructions for the wifi and the large screen TV would be good!
Beaugency is a delight, only a 15 minute diversion from our route down the A71/A20.
Well-appointed bedrooms looking in on the pleasant inner garden are totally quiet. The hotel is very central, within easy walking distance of the town centre and the riverside. Secure parking space in the locked interior courtyard is free and convenient but must be requested in advance of arrival. Buffet breakfast, helpful staff.
Staying in a place of great history. Staff was amazing in helping get restaurant reservations each night and were spot on as to where they sent us. Very good dinners! Rooms were comfortable, quiet, and clean. Rooms do need updating and hotel states that they will start happening in the near future. Stay nice stay!
Located in the middle of the old town everything was easy to walk to. There are plenty of restaurants and the Loire is so beautiful. The hotel courtyard has plenty of parking so we could just drop the car. The staff was very friendly, we'd certainly stay here again next visit.
Lovely hotel - furnishings in keeping with the period of the hotel. Lovely outdoor swimming pool which was available to use till 9pm. We had visited this hotel previously and one of the attractions to return was to eat on the terrace. Good home cooked food.
Location excellent. Friendly and comfortable hotel. Breakfast good, but could be a little more substantial - eggs, ham, etc could be offered rather than one having to ask/read a small board...
Overall - a very pleasant stay, good value.
A lovely garden where one can enjoy a drink or just chat or read a book. Our dog was made to feel welcome too, and the hotel is just beside the Grand Mail, which is handy for dog walking (with the appropriate toutou sac, of course!).
This is a lovely historic house which is spacious and comfortable, situated on a quiet road in the centre of the medieval town of Beaugency. Plenty of restaurants. The baker nearby sells croissants straight from the oven!
The hotel is very beautiful. We truly loved it! Very quaint and French country. The rooms and property extremely clean. The Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and yummy!
Very nice spacious apartment with a sleeping loft. Not great for someone uncomfortable with steep stairs, but I liked it. The open old beam decor was very nice. Well equipped kitchen. Managers were very responsive.
Very friendly and welcoming hosts, a cosy place to stay and spend vacation. Parking slot available, nice terrace, board games and books for children. A very good location not far from the old city of Beaugency.
Superbly situated in one of the oldest houses in Beaugency. Beautiful renovated by the owners who take care and are very welcoming. Very near all shops and amenities.
