We were just passing by and were curious about the town as we had read some good reviews. The area around the cathedral is nice with lovely views of the surrounding countryside but a part from that there was nothing else that caught our attention. We were surprised by the presence of people just wandering around (drunk or else) and this is more noticeable in a small town like Beziers. Unfortunately it did not meet our expectations.

We enjoyed our one night stay in Beziers .
We enjoyed our one night stay in Beziers . It’s really lovely around the cathedral next to the hotel where we stayed with great views over the area and beyond . Eating out is a pleasure as there are many restaurants to choose from . If busy it’s best to book . We enjoyed walking around the town looking at the Trompe L’oiel on the walls . There is a trail to follow but we didn’t have time . We would have liked to have visited the canal locks nearby too . Unless there are events on , it’s not the most exciting town but we really enjoyed it and if visiting again would stay 3-6 nights using the town as a base to explore other areas /towns nearby .

The centre of town was just a few minutes walk away, through a noisy underpass. Beziers was charming, the people friendly and the food good. Railway and bus connections were easy. The central boulevard and Plateau des Poets ideal for a pleasant stroll. Canal du Midi a bonus!

Later in the evenings there were a lot of immigrants in the main square. We ate at one of the restaurants recommended by our host. We visited the 9 locks which was very interesting, with a restaurant on site.

Enjoyed visiting the Cathedral and the old town.
Enjoyed visiting the Cathedral and the old town. Also visited Les 9 Ecluses de Fonseranes and Tunnel du Malpas (Canal du Midi), and Oppidum d'Enserune (a 2,500 year old celtic settlement). Also drove to the nearby coastal towns but were disappointed that there was not more activity for the time of year (early/mid September).
Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Nathalie speaks very good English and was always available. She allowed us a late checkout which was very convenient for us.
The studio is spotlessly clean and it served as a great base to return to every evening. The garden is a delight and we loved eating out there.
This part of France is great to explore and we had a brilliant holiday.
Everything about Villa Guy was a delight. The host made us exceptionally welcome introducing us to the history of the villa making our stay very special. The interior decoration is outstanding, combining the original decor with a contemporary vibe; this along with a great feel of luxury was a sound out feature for us. The garden is magnificent and the cocktails outstanding.
an idiosyncratic pension, which, since the lift from the river to the city centre at the cathedral has been installed, now takes 5 minutes from the premises into the city, is now in a more terrific location, by the river. Run by 2 Brits who have been resident in France for 15 years, they are now locals. A well presented and full continental breakfast is provided.
It was different in a good way with it’s unusual and random decor as-well as being very clean and the staff were very nice couldn’t do enough for you from recommendations for restaurants to what buses to get and what to see fantastic first experience in France 🇫🇷 we will be back
Staying at a prison turned out to be really great! The hotel ambiance and decoration were excellent, as were the staff, and the room was very comfortable and tastefully appointed. We very much appreciated the excellent location and the small but stylish pool.
Great location. Super close to the old centre of Beziers. 20 mins walk to the station.
Apartment had everything you’d need. Super clean and comfortable.
Gloria was super friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend if you stay in Beziers!
Everything was perfect! Super location minutes from everything in a quiet side street. Beautiful apartment with everything you could possibly need. If I'm ever in Beziers again I will definitely return.
Many thanks 10/10.
The shower, lighting and design of the bedrooms is great. Truly a boutique chic hotel. Lovely terrace for apéro and tapas, on your own or as a couple. The Glacier ice-cream just next door is a brilliant gem, add-on!
The owners of the hotel couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly.
The position of the hotel was perfect for exploring Beziers and right next to the Jardins des Poetes which is a delightful park.
Fabulous apartment full of character and history, quintessential south of France. Wonderful balconies opening onto quiet squares. Enormous rooms with high ceilings, light and airy.
