The bed was sooo comfortable and the room had a great view of the chapel on the rock. The hotel is right in the centre of town making it easy to walk out to restaurants. The nearby boulangerie is great for a quick breakfast. Parking is free and right beside the hotel.

Nice Hotel, the room was very clean and the bathroom was new also. The parking garage can hold 6 or 7 cars and was perfect of us to securely store the two classic cars we had. The location of the hotel in the centre of the town was great with bars and restaurants on its doorstep. We didn't eat at the hotel but had drinks from bar and found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly.

Lovely, quiet campsite 10 minutes walk out of Castellane. The campsite's owner was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

On the way to Maison Castellane from Gordes we enjoyed the scenery a lot. Our apartment has everything you need with a cozy sitting area. Our booking was for 3 nights. There's unexpected incident happened. Mr Lambert and his wife were very kind to help us through the difficult time. We're very appreciated and grateful to them.
We couldn't finish our stay and unable to visit the area. So we'll definitely come back and stay here again to finish what we haven't done.

An excellent 10 days in one of their cabins.
An excellent 10 days in one of their cabins. The staff are really friendly and all speak English which a bonus. The pool is great and surprisingly warm however I think it might get a bit busy in high season. The cabin we had was great, modern and well cared for. It is steep terraced site, so walking up the hill for bread in the morning was a challenge for me in me in my 70's but doable, if I did need a few minutes before talking to the shop assistant. Ideally located for the French Alps and the coast even if were disappointed with Cannes. Castellane is a lovely little town with everything you need. The highlight of this area is the scenery which is outstanding

My favorite places there were around the lake, enjoying the water and the boats. I also liked the walk towards the fossils of ancient see-cows. In the evening, we ate mainly at the camping; mornings I enjoyed a cup of coffee and walked to the boulangerie for a nice sandwich. I would avoid coming in July next time. It was quite hot.

logistically basing yourself in Castellane makes sense, but it's too busy even during covid and it doesn't really matter where you stay as you'll have to take a bus at beginning or end of the hike anyway; having a rental car is the best. The local bakeries make excellent croissants though. I'd not stay in castellane again, instead I'd book more in advance to stay somewhere with an amazing view and a balcony. La Bastide de Moustiers might be the best place to stay, and the food is excellent.

Nice small little town with a lot of restaurants, great views and a big supermarket with fair choices of products if you are staying on the camping. I was traveling solo and I would say it was more couple or family friendly.
Great base spot for canion verdon hikes.

Great places to eat (cafe fontaine) and to have a good glass of wine (tourist cafe).
Favourite places where near the Verdon, lake Castillion, and driving along the mountains.
Special: route du crètes.
To go to other places you need a lot of time because of the roads in the mountains...
The host was very welcoming, nice and helpful. We arrived when the weather got bad and he helped us find good places to visit despite the weather.
The house has everything you need including a well equipped kitchen, washing machine, and heating that does a pretty good job during the nights when it can get quite chilly.
There's a lovely garden outside where you can chill out.
If you plan on Kayaking and seeing the nearby areas then Castellane should be a good choice.
Breakfast was freshly prepared and served by the owner, great choice and delicious.
The hotel is lovely, its just outside town so very quiet and comfortable.
I did not read the check in details so arrived too early and my room was not ready, this was no problem as I just unloaded my luggage and went off to visit the Citroen museum nearby. Everything was sorted when I returned and I had a great stay. I will stay here again!
Really nice calm, quiet site. Even though the site was crowded when we arrived, it was still peaceful. The owners were very welcoming and they were dog friendly. Our cabin was nice, clean and reasonably well equipped (needed saucepans). Possible to order bread and croissants etc for the next morning at reasonable prices. Castellane itself has lots of restaurants and a big supermarket.
Absolutely superb stay - the host was charming, helpful and friendly, the location was beautiful, quiet and had a great view, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely wonderful. I would recommend BnB Castellane without hesitation for a long or a short stay.
This is an incredible apartment, equipped with absolutely everything, very nicely decorated, located in the very center of Castellane, in a historic building, yet absolutely modern inside, with a large terrace overlooking charming old houses, beautiful gardens and city landmarks.
The rustic style of the house is amazing. The kitchen is a dream! I love cooking, so this is very important to me. The bathroom and showers is very spacious. Stephane, the owner is very friendly. The place is quiet and peaceful, yet is very close to the village Castellane.
The bed was sooo comfortable and the room had a great view of the chapel on the rock. The hotel is right in the centre of town making it easy to walk out to restaurants. The nearby boulangerie is great for a quick breakfast. Parking is free and right beside the hotel.
Castellane is a beautiful village with some of the most fascinating natural gorges, rivers and mountains in France.
The restaurants and shops were lovely with good food everywhere. We had a charming little balcony which let us enjoy watching life in the town piazza.
We wanted to try out an alternative to hotels. You need to factor in cost of sheets and no breakfast included. If that works for you it's a really good, quiet stay à few minutes walk from the cetee of the village and good restaurants.
Good location for local excursions, several restaurants in walking distance. Clean, well kept hotel. Nice rooms (ours has a little balcony with a view), quiet, parking in the back is a big plus. Very good breakfast buffet.
L'oustaou is well located near centre of Castellane beside the river.
Property is designed for groups and is kept clean and tidy.
Staff are very helpful. Wifi works.
Able to park my cycle indoors overnight.
Out host Veronica was very welcoming. No issues checking in. Very quiet and safe. Our children slept his a tent a bit down the hill from us and we had no issues. Our first time in France. Hope to return.
Terry was very kind and helpful. His English is basic but we managed to communicate. The hotel is located distant from Castellan but if you have a car it is worth staying there.
