Easy access to nice town, great for visiting the Normandy beach landing sites etc. Well appointed apartment but needs wi-fi for travellers who are always on the go. Hosts were helpful to solve problems.
Le Refuge Marin is situated in Courseulles-sur-Mer, less than 1 km from East Beach, a 18-minute walk from Port de Plaisance, as well as 1.3 km from Juno Beach Centre.

Excellent location, great views from 6th floor, plenty of room for a couple, pretty much everything we needed, ideal for anyone wanting to do Normandy WW2 tours. The local restaurant was excellent, Maison Bleu. Also and very important for us was the private car park had a height limit but it had a gap just perfect to get us through with our top box. We figured that was what it was for and if so, genius and much appreciated

Courselles-sur-mer is a sweet little place with some very nice eating establishments - great for seafood. The smell of the harbour and the sight of seabirds picking amongst the fishing trays was entertaining and scallop shells everywhere!

Good quality places to eat, good for walks along the seafront, lots to see in the town and the various areas close by related to Normandy Landings.
The town is exceptionally clean which can be said for the majority of the towns around the whole area.

Beautiful fishing port.
Beautiful fishing port. A museum dedicated to the D-Day landings. Fresh fish market daily. Beautiful restaurants and markets.
The property is much better than the photos suggest. I would defintely rebook.

It was chosen for its location on the Coast, to D-Day landing sites and to WWII cemeteries, few of which we have visited on previous French trips, to pay our respects to those who fell during W.W.II
The prices and costs of many things were much higher than where we had spent three weeks, for example the cheapest breakfast was 14 Euros, opposed to eight further South! Bit of a surprise!

i am getting on a bit the walk to the beach was a bit much for me, it is a very big beach but no amenites just blocks of rather ugly housing.
i did not find any restaurants open seems like Thursday was first day they were open and it was a pizza place which i dont like.
As to what would i avoid probably Courseulles Sur Mer!

Nice little fisherman’s place with all varieties of sea fruits. In December a city was almost without tourists. There is a beautiful memorial center about Canadian troops who were involved in WW2 actions on French soil.
People in the city often don’t speak English, some of them very friendly and some of them not so.
Beautiful beaches with exceptional low tides and beautiful gold sand and long walks.
The problem can be if you use public transport as we, to get here and leave can be a little tricky because there is only one bus line going to Caen and then you have train to Paris.

Excellent location for DDay beaches etc and only a short walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. A short drive to supermarkets. Secure parking. Large, well equipped (on the whole) apartment. Staff friendly (although no English spoken at all). Good bedrooms and bathroom with slippers, robes and lots of toiletries. Good coffee maker and large packet of free coffee, mineral water.
The property is very clean and well maintained. Our room was very spacious and had a lot of natural light. It is extremely well located, a few steps from shops, restaurants, the beach and Juneau Center while it remained very easy to park our car. The host, Marie-Pierre, is most welcoming and will answer all your questions. she uses local or homemade products for the breakfast.
The hotel is in a good location. The beach, seafront and town are all right on the doorstep and some of the DDay memorials and museums are within easy reach. Our room, though old fashioned and outdated, was very clean. The bathroom was dated, but had everything we needed, including a proper shaving mirror (which some top class hotels don't provide) and a large window.
Great location. Close to Juno beach centre and other landing sites, great restaurants within walking distance, and Caen only 20 min drive away. Super nice hosts who were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Extremely clean. Lots of free parking available. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable.
Appartment in a fantastic position to get to all the interesting places onthe Normandy beaches. Very quiet. Parked easily in the street. Restaurantsd and shops close by - we didnt use the restaurants as they were full because of the celebrtations and a a might expensive.
Quiet apartment in a residential building with nice view on a small fishing harbor.
Excellent communication with rental agency
Good enough equipped kitchen
Boulangerie and restaurants around the corner, small supermarket within 5 minutes walking distance.
Great accommodation, all the amenities one could need.
Bed was comfortable
Shower clean and modern
Eric greeted me and showed me where to park and gave me a tour of apartment.
Great location to walk to all attractions within Courseulles-sur-Mer
We were in The Cottage annexe with on site parking. Nice modern development and very comfortable bed. Restaurant was good with interesting menu. Very convenient for stop off to/from Ouistreham and Le Havre.
The room was O. K. Nothing special. The view was a rooftop. I enjoyed the seagull visiting me on the rooftop. We were in the "garden" hotel. Never saw a garden. I was a bit disappointed in the room.
I felt at home. Everything was welcoming. The place is warm and at a good location near lots of restaurant and good sites. I recommend the place to stay and enjoy the history around the place.
Just next to Juno Beach, free parking, good breakfast, we had supper at the restaurant and was really satisfied. Personnel really professional and ready to attend any needs.
