great place to stop overnight on NC500. wonderful views, nicely furnished rooms and great food at the restaurant. when we were there there was live music at the bar. we had a lot of fun that evening.

Outstanding hospitality offered by Rolf; nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We also had an evening meal there which was absolutely delicious with Rolf being a most attentive host. The B&B is two minutes drive from Melvich beach and whilst located off the main road, you can hear absolutely no road noise.
Highly recommended in every respect!

This was a gem of a property! We loved everything about it. The views were phenomenal and with the property facing east, it was perfect for watching the morning sun rise. Everything was exceptionally clean and the lounge was so cosy. The beds were comfortable and my family of four had a very restful nights sleep.

The weather was not kind to us so we were unable to visit the lovely beaches in the area and the mountain views were not there to be seen. There is not a lot in Bettyhill, but we took a drive around the Kyle of Tongue (the old main road before the bridge was built) and the scenery around there was beautiful. We also took a stroll to Strathey Point and were entertained by Sandpipers, gulls and Oystercatchers singing in the fog.

We stayed in the hotel for one night. The location is just off the road on the North coast 500 but the room was quiet at night. The views from the hotel are stunning looking down to the beach and surrounding coastline. The room was very well appointed and we had. good night's sleep. There was a bar and lounge area and also a restaurant. The food both at night and for breakfast was very good. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to friends and family for an overnight stay. I booked a one night stay at the Bettyhill Hotel whilst on a motorcycle trip on the NC500. The hotel boasts a fantastic scenic sea view location with it's restaurant and some rooms overlooking the sea. I received a room upgrade upon arrival which was a bonus but would expect every room to be to the same clean and comfortable high standard. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was superb and great value for money, as was 'cooked to order' breakfast the following morning. If you like your malt whisky, there is a fantastic selection in the bar!AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

The hotel is perfectly located on the main road but was not noisy at all. Our room (1) was fantastic and the staff, service and food were all excellent. It was an absolute pleasure staying at the hotel and I cannot recommend it highy enough. If you are planning a trip on the North Coast 500 make sure you spend at least a night here - you will nto be dosappointed.

On the NC500. Lovely beach and walks. General shop. Two cafes (one in village, one by the museum). Two good quality hotels - Bettyhill Hotel and the Farr Bay Inn - which are also open to non-residents for meals. Strathnaver Museum has recently been completely refurbished with new exhibition displays about the Clearances and local life.

We booked the cottage which is not part of the integral hotel but just opposite of the hotel. The cottage is great for a family or group of 4 and offers a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds. Dinner in the hotel was good and breakfast even better!
