The highlight of this hotel was without a doubt the very tasty breakfast, would divert and stay again just for that.
I had a single room for a stop over on a work trip to Glasgow and the room was fine, it was front facing on a sometimes noisy road, but that does not bother me.
Staff were all polite and helpful.
Check I. Smooth and efficient.
Plenty of parking.
An independent, family-run hotel in an extended Victorian home, with many impressive original features. Close to Carlisle city centre and the M6 motorway.

Full English Breakfast was £7.00 and very tasty. Room was well equipped with tea and coffee making, hot chocolate sachet and biscoff biscuits. Didn't have to take a hairdryer as one in room. Bed was so soft and comfortable. Next door but one to the Taste of Asia and close proximity to the town. Also the on-site parking was helpful.

Lovely old building. Very handy. Helpful staff. Nice big rooms. Stayed a few times before and staying a few more times this year. Would definitely recommend.

Dalston village is beautiful, but Carlisle Town, what we saw of it was uninspiring and unattractive.
Lots of road works , confusing road systems and busy. Not a bit like the other lake district towns.
Perhaps we hadn't seen the best of it to be fair.

Quite an underrated town.
Quite an underrated town. The castle and cathedral are very interesting, plenty of history to see. I like it most because you can quite easily travel to fantastic locations from all directions; Hadrian's wall & Newcastle to the East, Ribblehead & the Lake district to the South, the scenic Cumbrian coast to the West & the Historic Southern lowlands of Scotland to the North!

Convenience as a base to visit more of Cumbria.
Convenience as a base to visit more of Cumbria. If like me you don't drive its good to have a base with plenty of public transport to enable you to see a variety of places. Carlisle itself is easy to walk round, everything within walking distance.

I love Carlisle!
I love Carlisle!
It’s a great town with good shopping, history and nightlife
The bars and restaurants are wonderful and it’s very friendly
There is plenty of parking, it’s compact and interesting
My favourites are The Thin White Duke for drinks/food and Bocata bar for live music, atmosphere and great drinks
Beautifully furnished lounge areas, all spotlessly clean. Excellent choice of menu (4 vegetarian options!) in the bar on Sunday night with great service from Henry. The pool is the best we have found in any hotel, wonderful to have a swim before dinner and also after breakfast next morning. Great breakfast buffet and cooked breakfast choices too, impeccable service from Beppe in the lovely conservatory room. Hotel is one minute from Wetheral station with a ten minute journey hourly to the centre of Carlisle.
Everything was fabulous and above expectations. The host had added little extra touches in the room that made a difference and she went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Only stayed one night but would definitely rebook and stay for longer next time we are in Carlisle. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order. Hotel is
Within easy walking distance of the city
Centre but I’m a quiet road
Incredible value for this haven just off the Hadrian's Wall Path, in the peaceful Port Carlisle. We opted to stay here three nights and use taxis as we finished up the last three days of the walk (thus allowing us not to have to carry all our things in our pack, and to stay in this delightful cottage!) Excellent location, and an easy and pretty 1.2m walk from Bowness-on-Solway.
Only a couple of blocks from Carlisle town center and the train station. Cornerways B&B is an original period building with the rooms furnished as such. Even so everything is neat and comfortable. Breakfast includes a buffet of cold choices or an option of hot choices to order. Owners are present, attentive and very friendly.
The hotel is very central in Carlisle. It has a parking nearby and it’s very close to the station and the road that takes you back to the M6. The room was clean. Breakfast was great; I liked that guests could take the amount of jam needed without having the plastic mono-portions. Kind staff
The location of Abbey Court was very convenient for the city centre and places to eat. Kelly the owner was very friendly when we arrived and cooked us a lovely breakfast. There is car parking at the side and behind the guest house. Would definitely stay again if in Carlisle.
The location was convenient in terms of walking to the bus and train stations. The hotel is dated, but has retained some of the characteristics of the era when it was prime. the room was clean and comfortable and the meal in the dining room was quite satisfactory.
The hotel is in Carlisle city centre, so it is in a very good location. It ls also very close to a large supermarket as well. The room itself was very comfortable, and it was also on the top floor of the building, so there wasn't much noise from the bar as well
It was my first time at this hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room with large, clean and warm with a lovely comfortable bed.
My two dogs and myself were made very welcome.
I will be delighted to stay here again the next time I'm in Carlisle
Fabulous stay in this little boutique hotel as an overnight stop inbetween our Settle to Carlisle return railway journeys.
Great location (brilliant for bird-spotting), excellent rooms, (huge comfy bed), good food and lovely, friendly staff.
The hotel location is excellent with its own private car park. Situated over the road from Carlisle train station that has main line connections and has plenty of friendly bars, shops on the doorstep and other busy places nearby.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble for them. Great position for a place to stop. Clean and tidy will stop there again and recommend it to all people that want to stop in Carlisle.
This was a lovely hotel based in the center of Carlisle, a few steps from the train station and close to all amenities pubs bars restaurants, and old fire station for bands ect.
Would highly recommend
The location is great, the staff are brilliant the room was excellent. Weve stayed at The Cumbria Park Hotel at least a dozen times over the years and its still one of the best Hotels in Carlisle.
The B&B was really comfortable and in a great location, within easy reach of the city centre, a variety of restaurants, bars and venues. The hotel owner was lovely and the breakfasts were great.
Beautiful hotel. Rooms was very comfortable and spacious. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. couldn’t do enough for us. would definitely visit again. Breakfast excellent.
