We had a garden apartment. It was well designed and maintained, spotlessly clean. Had all the equipment needed for self catering. Staff were excellent and reacted very quickly when required. Breakfast in the hotel was simple but good.

Portmeirion Village & Castell Deudraeth, hotel in Criccieth

Built by a visionary architect in 1925, Portmeirion Village & Castell Deudraeth overlooks the beautiful Dywryd Estaury.

Absolutely everything. Brilliant quirky place to visit but better to stay. Experiencing the village at night once general visitors have left gives it a totally different feel. Loved every second. Food was amazing in The Hotel and staff were friendly and informative. A must for any Prisoner fans but one day visit would not do it justice. Lots of little quirky areas to explore.

Tudor Lodge, hotel in Criccieth

Porthmadog High Street is 30 meters and both national and steam trains are within 600 meters of Tudor Lodge. The Tudor Lodge is a family run bed and breakfast.

Our room was really clean and comfortable with a lovely en-suite bathroom. It had kettle/tea/coffee facilities and the bed was so comfy. The breakfast options were excellent, plentiful and very tasty. This accommodation is in a quiet position in the town but really close to all amenities and places to eat and drink. On site parking was a bonus and there was a lovely seating area outside.

Host was helpful in supplying info in advance.

Host was helpful in supplying info in advance. Cottage was well placed for visiting the Llyn Peninsula. However, although the cottage was clean, there was an extremely musty smell which hit us as soon as we arrived and proved impossible to clear. It may have been damp. Also, although there was parking, the entrance to the drive way is quite narrow and certainly difficult to access as it is right on a bend in a busy road. As others have reported, the bed in the main bedroom is rather springy and a bit uncomfortable.

A really nice village/ small town with great beaches Every one should visit and high season they do Sunny weekend afternoons it gets well overloaded. if that is only time you have it is still worth it. Prince of Wales Arms has good food good service and fair prices you get a big meal. Butcher and bakery are great but close Sundays

criccieth is a very small quiet place and facilities for eating out are very limited, especially if you have not had time to pre book. All throughout the area some restaurants do not do food on mondays others not on a tuesday. we often had to travel into Porthmadog to eat. Criccieth is very scenic, there is a lovely spot down by the bay by the castle to try to spot the Dolphins.

Criccieth is a pleasant quiet town with a nice beach and some individual shops, restuarants, hotels and plenty of cafes. It is a very good place to journey out from for the day. It is easy to walk around and the castle makes a lovely view by the sea. We ate in the Prince of Wales. Standard pub food, nothing fancy. The scampi and chips was good and the staff friendly. Some interesting old photos in the pub as well as the history of the very old beam you can see in the upstairs dining area. We had a birthday meal at the Caerwylan hotel. Our later (8pm) booking meant that within half an hour we were the only diners (everyone else had dined earlier). When I booked I emailed that it was a birthday celebration but was told it would depend on how many guests are in the earlier slot! I went ahead with the booking as I didn't want to drive anywhere. The food was nicely presented and the vegetables the best cooked I have eaten out for a long time,. My husband also highly rated the dessert. We were however disappointed with the lamb rump - mine was not that tender and somewhat fatty and some gristle. Little flavour. We have had lamb rump at a very good pub restaurant on Dartmoor and it had good flavour and tender. They also did not have oat milk which has become a common stock item in a lot or hotels, restaurants and cafes. We had to find a member of staff to pay the bill as we had coffee in the bar area and did not see anyone after that. We had to go and find a staff member! So Criccieth lovely but the 4 star rated hotel not brilliant. We can recommend The Goat - recently refurbished - a lovely pub about 3 miles from Criccieth and apparently there is another one further up the coast near Nefyn which we will visit on our next stay.

While Criccieth isn't large, being based there gives you access to explore the whole of North Wales and make some excellent walking excursions in Snowdonia. Criccieth has an excellent beach and is a short drive from many other wonderful beaches. The castle is also a nice place to stop if you have a couple hours to spare.

The iris is a fantastic property .

The iris is a fantastic property . The views are absolutely amazing. Its next to the beach. Above the Cadwaladers and across from the fish and chip shop. What more could you want 😂 Parking is plentiful. If you get the opportunity take a drive to Black Rock sands which you can drive on. The sunset from there is fantastic.

The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and the location was excellent too. It was a 2 minute walk to the sea front and easy access to the whole Llŷn Peninsula. The owners were lovely and friendly and greeted us with some fantastic Bara Brith (traditional Welsh tea bread) on our late afternoon returns. The whole B&B is spotless and highly recommended. When we return to North Wales this will always be the first place we check for availability.

LOVED staying here! The perfect base for 4 days visiting the Llyn Peninsula. Our room was comfortable, quiet and we loved being so close to the beach - from most parts of the room it felt like being on a boat, because all we could see was the sea. The fridge / tea & coffee area was much used during our trip and we enjoyed Criccieth's cafe, coffee shop and restaurant options - as well as the local chip shop! Can't wait to come back.

The location of the property made it quiet and a perfect place to relax. However if we needed anything Criccieth and Porthmadog were close by. Our dog loved the garden and as it was fully enclosed we could let her run around freely. Everything we could need was available at the cottage and we could see that previous feedback from other holidaymakers had been acted on, which had made improvements to the cottage and the garden.

Mark and Louise infused our stay with care and quality... our room was spotless with e erything we needed for our short stay in Criccieth. The breakfast was excellent, top quality ingredients and presented with real hospitality... White linen, wonderful service and thoughtful extras like handwrapped and home made cake to help ourselves to as we left for the day... thank you both! We look forward to returning.

Room nice and clean and comfy bed. Enjoyed breakfast every morning. Guest house was good base to explore area and Criccieth was not far to walk to maybe 5 minutes. We enjoyed the Prince of Wales Pub and the curry restaurant. Plenty of places to eat. Hosts were informative on where to visit which helped us decide what to do on our stay.

Good location, the hotel is near the beach in Criccieth and not far from other places in the Llyn Peninsular. The room was clean and a good size. The staff are very good at keeping good hygiene in the hotel because of Covid. The food is excellent, there is a good choice for the evening meal and the chips are as good as ever.

The friendliness of the staff, the breakfast, the cleanliness of the room - all of these were excellent. They also have a lounge if you want to spend your evening playing cards/board games. It is located on the edge of Criccieth but only 15/20 minutes walk from the castle and lots of restaurants or the beaches.
