The centre of Paignton is terrible, unless you want a lot noise, crowds, and a pier where gambling and plastic entertainment is wanted. A huge number of cafes, but shuttered at night, and few places to eat in the evening
The beach furthest from the town centre is good. The location of Paignton is good for travelling on the steam train (£22.50 per adult return including ferry to Dartmouth) to Kingswear/Dartmouth. The Coastal Path is definitely worth walking.

Multi screen cinema on the front is only £4-99 if you book via your phone on the Vue website, at this price there is always plenty of seats available. The cinema overlooks Torbay road which has amusement arcades a few bars , cafes etc. There is a short stroll into town from here with a number of shops including Poundland. Plenty of buses available if you fancy a 15 minute trip into Torquay.

Paignton is fine, if you like climbing, pushing a wheelchair in the street can be hard, some street being steep. Paignton nice seafront ideal for young family. The big hotel 5 star suitable for the older generation. Activities and trips arranged by the hotel. Good food any time of the day. Torquay 3 miles away, great place to visit.

Paignton sea front was too busy for me but the actual town and the outskirts of the town have everything you need. Travelling to all the other towns and villages was very easy and paignton is a great base. The beaches around the coves are amazing.broadstones beach is stunning. All i will say is be prepared to pay everywhere to park even the beaches make sure you carry cash for the toilets too.
Everything! St Weonards is the best B&B in Paignton in Devon fact! If your ever in Paignton and you can book here you won't be disappointed! The property is immaculate clean & tidy smells amazing absolutely amazing even the towels! The breakfast is fantastic and such a choice and drinks available and evening meal. The best B&B fact. The onwers Vicky & Leigh such lovely people can't fault them in anyway possible shape or form go out of there way for there guests.
From the extensive car park which is a real bonus to the sea front location,we enjoyed our 10th visit to the Palace.
The reception staff were polite and cheerful, breakfast was excellent in a classic dining room with highly competent staff.
We intend to return in September,God willing.
We tended to have dinner out of the hotel, but no doubt high standards are maintained
Also,The Inn on the Green is a pub next door if one does want to travel far.
The palace hotel was brilliant the staff worked very hard and they were all very professional we had a room with a sea view which looked out over Paignton which was really nice breakfast was good with loads of choices we had the evening meal as well which was 5 courses a little overpriced but really good I can’t really fault this hotel and can’t wait to visit again thank you
A good full English breakfast, served quickly by very pleasant staff in a comfortable, air conditioned restaurant. It was nice to have use of a lift as the room was on the second floor. The room was very well furnished, spacious, with en-suite bathroom, and clean. Check-in and check-out was very simple and I also had no issue with parking in the hotel's private car park.
Nice cheap hotel right on the seafront and within easy walking distance into the town. Nothing to do with the hotel, but if you like a curry, then I thoroughly recommend the Nepalese restaurant - very friendly, the chef coming out to have a chat and make sure the food was OK. The "Base Camp Curry (Hot)" is probably the best curry I have had. Now, back to the hotel...
This is an excellent B&B, which is enhanced by the hospitality of the hosts, Scott & Vicky.
The rooms are very clean and spacious, and have large walk-in showers.
The breakfasts are delicious and plentiful.
The hotel is on the harbour side and is close to Paignton’s bus and rail stations, all amenities and the sea.
I've stayed in Paignton 5 times and this is the best guest house without a doubt.Lovely friendly down to earth owner/s.Room was comfy, warm and immaculate,Breakfast was perfect and catered for all tastes. If I ever stay in Paignton again one hundred percent will be here. Thanks for a great relaxing stay
Food was excellent and the hotel was very clean.
I was in Devon visiting family so the location of the hotel was perfect. Local area was what you would expect from a seaside resort, some parts more pleasant than others. Good beach for children and plenty of play facilities.
Absolutely loved the rooms! It was super clean and the staff cleaned our rooms every other day while we were out enjoying the seaside. We also loved their breakfast, which was yummy and delicious. We would highly recommend this place to anyone planning to go to Paignton.
We booked a one-night getaway and it was nice and calm in the place we stayed. Having never been to Paignton before, the hotel was in a good location overlooking the pier and waterfront. Staff were lovely and the room was nice and clean with a good view.
The beds were quite comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. Plus, the hotel was close to the Paignton Pier, which was a thrilling place, and had so many activities to choose from. The staff were quite friendly to us throughout our stay.
.
Our first ever stay at this hotel and it will now be our come to everytime we visit Paignton. The staff were lovely, Room and hotel very clean, nothing was any trouble and perfect location with beautiful views. Highly recommended to anyone.
Hotel was in a great position next to Goodrington Sands. Breakfast and cleanliness were very good. Found the hosts and staff to be polite and helpful. Would definitely use this accommodation again.
Location of the hotel is right at the Paignton beach. Its also very close to the children's play area which was a plus for my toddler. The rooms are very clean and breakfast was wonderful.
The breakfast was the best we have had for many years and we have stayed in some luxurious hotels but the breakfast was nothing compared to the one served to us at the Wulfruna hotel.
Owners Steve and Claire really nice people. Fantastic location for Paignton, parking space , clean and tidy, spotless with a good breakfast. Will definitely stay again
Fabulous location for access to the town and beach, but note this property is on a slight hill. Paignton is also a good location for exploring other parts of Devon.
