Good simple quality food, cooked well. Descend breakfast . The pastries particular favourite.Good pastry chef . Professional staff all round, makes a huge difference . Always a really pleasant , comfortable stay and experience at Du Vin. Comfortable beds/ great hot running showers and nice gardens. Very good location.

Perfect location on the Pantiles, stylishly furnished, very comfortable bed, helpful staff and good value. When it turned out I was struggling with stairs to the 5th floor due to an injury, the staff not only helped with my luggage, but found me a very splendid room on a lower floor for the second night, and honoured the original price.

The location was amazing! We felt everything was well thought of and very much appreciated the fine detail put into our stay. The shower was small as expected but worked very well and we were impressed by it. Although it was raining we had a relaxing time and we saw deer walking around outside which was very peaceful. We also really enjoyed going to the games room, even though we thought it would be mainly for kids, there was a pool table and table tennis there too.

When you see pictures online of some hotels and bed and breakfasts you never really know if they are going to be as good as you see. Mount Edgcumbe had some beautiful pictures and I'm happy to say the hotel really did live up to the expectations. Myself and my husband had a lovely stay over. The room was small but beautifully styled, the bathroom was also beautiful with a very big shower. The whole room was spotless with crisp white bedding. The bar and restaurant were stunning there was even a snug built into a cave in the bar. Outside was a lovely courtyard with seating and pretty lights hanging from old style street lanterns. We had breakfast included. When we were ordering we noticed the breakfast was a la cart which we are not a fan of. When the breakfast arrived it was definitely not a la cart, it was so delicious and a good portion. Staff were lovely and friendly. I would 100% go again and definitely recommend a visit.
