Nice beaches but everything was extremely touristic and overcrowded. It is easy to move along the island, you don't need to rent a personal mean of transportation. Open air cinema experience was really cool. If you're looking for relax and authenticity try Skopelos instead ;)Claudio - 10Scored 10
We visited during the last week of October which was at the...
We visited during the last week of October which was at the end of the season, so many restaurants bars ,shops were closed. Despite this enough tavernas / restaurants were open to eat somewhere different for our three day stay. The weather was perfect hot enough but not too hot. There’s not a lot to do, but if you like just to relax and watch the world go by then it’s perfect. You can easily walk around the town

lovely town has lots of great restaurants and bars. The side streets in the old town are beautiful and full of character. The people of the town are lovely and friendly always helpful. Local buses run regularly and not expensive. Always felt safe.

Skiathos is a Party and Shopping-City but there are also a few beaches. Every night there is party in different clubs and bars. There are many, like loads of shops, for clothing, jewelry, food, olive products, ... The city is pretty small, slightly hilly and you can reach everything by feet. Lovely town with lots of nice bars and restaurants. There's something for everyone. Lively places and quieter ones. Nice shops selling unusual and typical Greek products. Great ice cream. Easy to reach other places from there.

They met me and guided me back to the hotel, helped with my luggage, transported me to the airport twice & were very accommodating in giving suggestions as to what to do & where to eat in the area. I loved the brand new facilities and felt like I was living in luxury! I highly recommend Mondrian Guest house especially for it's convenient location & brand new amenities. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk into Skiathos town and 1 minute from the bus stop where busses pass every 5-10 minutes- perfect location for both the town and access to the beaches/rest of the island! We loved the pool, never had to rush for sun-beds as there were plenty for everyone. Also never had problems with noise and air con was great.

Brothers Dimitri and Yanis run a first class operation. Spot of rain? Umbrellas appear. Going to the beach? Towels provided. Their suggestions for activities and dinner were spot on. Very comfortable rooms, almost all of which face the lovely pool. Outstanding breakfast and perfect location at the top of the main pedestrian street of Skiathos. If you’re heading to Skiathos, just stay here and you are assured of a wonderful stay.

The room was very spacious, AC worked well and everything was very clean. There is a Nespresso coffee machine and you get some free water. Apparently the tap water on the island is not drinkable, FYI. The staff were super nice. It's a 10 min walk from where the airport bus drops you and a 40 min walk to the airport itself (yes one can walk :)). The hotel is in Skiathos town so everything is very close by, like 3 min walk.

Due to it being on a hill a taxi was a must coming back from town however this was expected and part of having a hotel with a pool and a view! The walk down to town is doable on foot but steep at times, it took about 15-20 mins to get to the port (most of the way doesn’t have a pavement).
