Heritage Hotel Chersin, hotel in Brijuni

The family-run Heritage Hotel Chersin is located in the old centre of the small fishing town Fažana, opposite the Brijuni Islands National Park.

I enjoyed a wonderful short stay at Hotel Chersin. The small hotel is quaint and full of character. I loved the decoration of the room with its wooden features and very comfortable bed. The hosts are kind and very welcoming. As a vegetarian there was an ample selection for me at breakfast and eggs are cooked to order. The environs and area around the hotel are very charming and there is a lovely narrow street view to the sea. I hope to return one day.

Nice. Well kept lawns and trees.

Nice. Well kept lawns and trees. Very good Tito Museum and museum of Brioni. However, there is not much to do apart from walking - everything can be seen in 2-3 hours… We stayed for 2 days which was good to have a rest in a pleasant hotel, but as said could have been much shorter…

Baeutiful islands, the Veliki Brijun is well worth visiting. I haven't been to the other islands and I actually doubt that it is possible to visit them. See all the exhibitions, enjoy the beach, the walks, bicycle rides and a good dinner buffet at the hotel. It is also great to go to a theatre performance on Brijuni if you understand the language. If you are a hotel guest, you can take the ferry to Fažana for free. It only takes 15 minutes to get across. At Fažana, there are shops, some nice restaurants, tavernas and excellent ice-cream. All food and drinks are much cheaper than at the hotel on the island.

Wonderful national park with abundant wild life (including large colonies of peacocks), beautiful nature and lots of history. Rent a golf cart to get around the surprisingly large island, and then park it for a good walk along marked trails or just across the land. If you like golf, there is a surprisingly large 18-hole course as well - with "greens" made of fine gravel to avoid the need for using grass-improving chemicals in the park. They even rent usable equipment. Just be careful not to hit the many deer that grass on the fairways :-)
