The host was brilliant and the area was perfect. Close to restaurants in Laragh, close to scenic spots like Lough Tay and Powerscourt Waterfall. Our host gave great recommendations of things to do in the area.

We got the wrong room, single instead of a twin accommodation but they sort it out for the first night and then the next day they gave us a twin room for the rest of the stay. Great and very friendly staff. The administration does a great job in training them and been visible to all. The only draw back was that we did not get our room clean during our stay, the garbage was full, we only got towels changed.

This is a perfect location for walkers & nature lovers.
This is a perfect location for walkers & nature lovers. The views are spectacular & if you're lucky with the weather, which we were, though it was February, there are some lovely walks in the area, both short & long-distance. Very popular with tour groups & families, especially at weekends ... lots of buggies, bicycles & dogs ... something for everyone! Lovely outdoor seating areas for coffee & snacks & tasty food in restaurant. Don't forget your camera for some memorable & scenic shots during your walks. Wear comfortable footwear to really enjoy & take advantage of the lovely walks, especially around the lake , up towards the waterfall ... so much to see & enjoy ... for adults, kids, & doggies too! Will definitely return!

We have visited Laragh on three different trips to Ireland, and we are always eager to return. It is a scenically beautiful area. We love walking the trails at Glendalough amid the ancient monastic ruins, and the drive through the Wicklow Mountains is stunning. Over the years, we also have enjoyed several day trips to nearby Russborough House with its art, gardens, interesting history, and excellent restaurant. The Wicklow Heather restaurant is world class, and the cafe in the center of Laragh has excellent homemade soups and food.
Laragh is a great part of any trip to Ireland.

Laragh is just over a kilometre away from the honey pot of Glendalough which, when we were there at the weekend, was heaving with visitors. Laragh is a good place to stay because you're away from the crowds and I suspect that the dining options are better than in Glendalough. There are lots of walks into the hills from Glendalough and it is indeed a beautiful place. The long distance Wicklow Trail passes within a kilometre of Laragh. Good public transport connections either direct from Dublin by coach or by train from Wicklow and there is a bus service to connect with the trains at Wicklow.

Historic monastic city full of history but definite lack of information placards on key sights.
Visitor centre not open
Bridget is an absolute asset, friendly, welcoming, efficient and full of information. Well equipped room, excellent bed, gorgeous decor in ‘lounge’ areas, totally my kind of attention to detail-brought something special to the main house. Dinner & Breakfast in Heather House (next door) lovely cosy atmosphere, delicious & varied menu, staff very attentive. Can’t wait to go back, booking another stay to bring family for pre-Xmas celebration!
Quick check in and a good sized room and bathroom. Good sized restaurant and pub down below. Food was acceptable; bar choices were broad. Excellent location relative to Glendalough and Powerscourt sites although road sizes will be a bit disconcerting to many American drivers. Limited alternative dining options available although restaurant up the street was quite good. Was quiet despite pub being right downstairs.
Mary is an excellent host, very pleasant. The room was nice and comfortable. The b&b is walking distance to glendalough and The Wicklow Heather restaurant. We got drenched during our walk and the small hairdryer was actually a life saver! Small things like that make a massive difference. It was a wonderful experience and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking to explore glendalough area.
Stayed here with my husband, brother, and sister-in-law. Wow was it exactly what we wanted. We will definitely be back to stay for a much longer period of time. If you think 2 days and 1 night is enough in Glendalough you are mistaken. The pub is so close to walk, the hotels around have great breakfasts, and the views are stunning. It was perfect, perfect, perfect.
Love this house, it is such a gem in a beautiful and historic part of Ireland. This was the original school house and subsequently operated as a restaurant. The owner maintains it with such character and style. The conservatory and TV room really are the icing on the cake. Great for a family re union.
Perfect location near Glendalough. The bed was luxurious - so comfy! Friendly host. Walking distance to the 2 restaurants in town. Only bad thing is that you could hear neighbors walking around but that was trumped by quiet hours which were very much observed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
We came up to Laragh on a nice Sunday. The area is beautiful. The room was in the front of the house, very quiet and larger than expected. The simple offerings for breakfast were great and room was comfortable with small seating area included. Very clean. Host gave us directions to pub.
I loved everything- the decor, cleanliness, the staff, the deer roaming the property. The restaurant Wicklow Heather that we went to for dinner and breakfast had amazing food, whiskey and the staff were terrific. We enjoyed every moment and would go there again- thank you so much
Since I was hiking the WIcklow Way I liked that I could choose my breakfast time without bothering anyone. The room was lovely, very well decorated, spacious and comfortable. The location isn't bad - a fairly easy walk into the center of Laragh.
Best location to spend a few days hiking in a beautiful site - it's very conveniently located close to the beginning of a number of trails around Glendalough. The restaurant and bar was also very cosy and nice to have dinner/drinks.
I was at the Tudor Lodge the second time and it was as great as the first time. The B&B is one of the loveliest places, would definitely go there everytime I visit Ireland!
Breakfast and lunchpack were also delicious and cute
Property is beautiful! Feels secluded but is very close to the village of Laragh. Facilities were outstanding and everything was pristine. Pods were very comfortable and we slept really well! Staff were very friendly.
The staff are always very welcoming and helpful. We love the pub which is attached to the hotel. Live music on Wednesday night. Food was beautiful in restaurant and for breakfast. Location is perfect for glendalough.
We had a lovely one night stay. Comfortable bed, coffee and tea in the room with a little fridge. Walking distance to the restaurant for dinner and breakfast.
Highly recommend. .
Fantastic location. Amazing host, very welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful! The Wicklow Heather restaurant serves excellent food and has a great atmosphere.
