You can walk to Cathedral Cove from Hahei Beach Resort, follow the beach and connect to the Cathedral Cove walkway (the walk takes about 1 hour each way).

Well equipped accommodation. We arrived early but were able to check in then which was good. Facing inland (which we knew when we booked) but the ones facing the sea had a lovely view if you could choose one of those. Parking outside and close enough to walk to restaurants/pub.

The location couldn't have been much better, just a short walk across a green space to the small town of Hahei. Mike and Andrea were terrific hosts and gave us good advice on things to do and places to eat. They also provided a shovel for nearby Hot Water Beach.

The location was great and easy to find. We only stayed one night, which was a shame as we'd have loved to stay longer. The kitchen was well equipped, and things like clingfilm and foil were available. We cooked and used the dishwasher, so again, it was great to have all that available. Loved the outside shower, although we didn't use it.
They provide kids buckets and spades for hotwater beach. The beds were comfortable too.
They also provided a great little selection of books for kids and a couple of games.

Wonderful, clean, tasteful place to stay! We loved our time here! Very short walk to the beach and town eateries/shops. Erin was lovely and gave helpful information about things to do. A real bonus was her darling dog Cleo. Would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived after Cyclone Lola so it was wet and sea was churned up with a big swell. The sun came out and we enjoyed our evening walk on the beach which is beautiful. The morning we got up at 5.30 am and drove to the foot of Te Pare and walked up to the point for sunrise photos. We did the Hahei explorer boat trip which was a great way to see the coastline which is currently shut to walkers. Later we drove to Hot Water Beach which was great fun leaping the huge waves! The tide and swell was too high to dig spa pools but we felt the hot water with our toes! We had dinner both nights in The Pour House which served amazing food.

Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts.
Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts. They helped us with great advice regarding road closures we encountered on the way. Thanks to Phil, we found an alternate route and missed the closure completely.
Once we arrived we felt so welcome and Phil gave us a ride up to the start of the Cathedral Cove walk.
I highly recommend staying here.

We would have liked to give the accommodation Cathedral Cove Appartment a 9.7 score as we thought it was much better than a 9.0 which is what it caame up as We rated all the amenities as the best we could and thought that the score would come up as more than 9
The place had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday - comfortable bed, hot shower, spacious, sun streaming through to encourage a nap or two, quiet visits from the cat 😄. It's also a short walk to the beach (a beautiful spot, which is where a kayaking tour starts, which is also highly recommended) & where the shops are. The hosts are friendly, kind & responsive.
Highly recommended this place if you're staying at Hahei beach.
Had a wonderful stay! The hosts were very kind but not at all imposing, set us up with everything we needed then left us to enjoy the stay. They were very flexible and let us leave some things for a late checkout after a day of activities which really helped us enjoy a stress free day in Hahei. Beautiful view of the beach and stargazing at night away from the city lights. Facilities were very clean and well looked after.
Very quiet neighbourhood. Starry night.
Cleverly-designed layout. Very clean and almost new room, with view to Hahei Beach.
It's just a 2-minutes walk to the lookout platform of the Cethedral Cove, so we were lucky enough to visit there 3 times and see it at different times of the day: before checking in at low tides, after dinner, and after breakfast the next day.
Phil and Sue were fantastic hosts and made our trip to Hahei even more memorable. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was better than most cafes. Phil and Sue happily offered to drop us to the top of cathedral cover walk which was extremely helpful. Thank you for having us. We will definitely recommend to friends and family.
The property was lovely and spacious, beautifully presented and clean and it was fantastic to sit on the balcony and enjoy a drink and dinner. It was an added bonus that the location of the property was so close to the beach, just a few minutes walk. Great local places to have dinner too! Loved the village feel of Hahei.
The location was perfectly located near the beach and hikes we wanted to take. Mary and Kevin were very hospitable, helpful, and gracious. The house was clean, and our room was comfortable and private. The breakfast and morning coffee was a delight!!!! The view from our room didn't disappoint!!! Breathtaking!!
This nearly new 1 BR home has a great location and is equipped with everything needed for a couple to enjoy their time in Hahei. Not overly large, but nice separation of space for dining and hanging out on the couch. Gavin was quick to respond when we had questions. If 3A is available you should book it !
Perfect location. Easy walk to the beach and trails to Cathedral Cove and Te Pare. Spacious studio/lounge and kitchen/dining rooms. Clean and comfortable. Super friendly, generous, and communicative hosts. Would definitely stay here again!
The location was perfect. We did both a kayak and a boat trip and they left from the beach right by the resort. The cabins were a little rustic, but nice. There were grills available as well as a bar and several food kiosks.
Mary and Kevin welcomed us like family, lovely people and couldn't do enough for us. Stunning views from their home.
Hahei village was lovely, people friendly as well as a nice selection of venues for eating out.
Very comfortable holiday home in a great location. Gorgeous views, comfortable beds, a quick walk down to Hahei beach, and only a 5 min walk to the start of the cathedral cove walking track.
Phil and sue are the consummate hosts. The property is impeccably clean. Cookies and sweets upon our arrival. The American breakfast puts most restaurants and hotels to shame.
