The accommodation was immaculate and everything was thought of. Even nice and warm with the kettle boiled when we arrived. As they knew it was my husband's birthday there was even a wee cake for him! Lovely dark night skies to enjoy the stars. Super friendly hosts.

It is spotless and well maintained. All facilities are of a very high standard well above the level of most Backpackers lodges I have stayed at. It was so cosy warm, I only slept with a top sheet covering me.

Kids loved the plane, and were so excited about staying in the unique accommodation. They are keen to go back and stay in one of the other units.

This is a farming commercial area close to the Waitomo Caves and cave worms tour. The town is basically two main roads with a few restaurants, stores, supermarket and other services. There is a train stop. We did not use the train for travel. It is only 15 minutes to Waitomo Caves and a good place to start exploring the cliffs along the Pacific Ocean further south.

The garden at the cottage was amazing to explore.
The garden at the cottage was amazing to explore. Te Kuiti has a fantastic Indian Takeaway with a wide range of menu options including a traditional Chicken Tikka Marsala and a toandoor oven to make Naan. Only problem was that we arrived on a weekend and a lot of restaurants nad safes were closed and no shops open (this is normal in New Zealand country areas but not where we come from in Australia). Ladies in the inforamtion centre were very helpful.

We stayed overnight en route from Auckland to New Plymouth so saw little of Te Kuiti, but we saw beauty in the surrounds. We don't recommend taking the bypass route missing Hamilton on a rainy night!
Motel Te Kuiti was a great stop over before reaching our next destination. My partner and I have been on a road trip for 5days and it was such a great choice to stop there. The friendly lady at the reception was helpful as we were able to do our washing and drying for free. She also took our breakfast order which was convenient for us as it came on time too. The food places in the area are also delicious. Bedding was comfortable and clean!! Will definitely be coming back
The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. It appears to have been recently redone. The bathroom was quite small - narrow actually. Partial kitchen facilities but limited. The hotel will make breakfast for you if you notify them in time the previous day. I believe there is a charge but we did not use this option so I can't comment on how good the food was. the view from the room was very beautiful. I see why the name is Panorama.
The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and helping us plan our day, as we'd traveled to do the caves experience nearby.
The restaurant meals were excellent, great steak and burgers and they were very accommodating for my vegetarian partner.
The room itself was a little basic and showing its age, but perfectly comfortable and warm with kitchenette, tv, and private bathroom so the important things were there.
The food supplied for breakfast was great - bacon and fresh eggs plus cereal and fruit juice - and the lovely touch of fresh baking! Not that far from Te Kuiti but very close to the Taumarunui highway if you were travelling that way. Very highly recommended!! The gardens were the highlight of the stay - like a small arboretum. Thank you Jill!
The accommodation was easy to find, nice and central - easy access to the main street. Beds were very comfy. Was great to have access to a fan as was quite warm.
Great to have access to a kitchen and freezer facilities. Had everything you needed there.
It was clean, easily accessible, and spacious with parking right out the front of our unit. The manager was very helpful and very nice to deal with. We loved the amount of space and the bathroom/wet room was huge compared to most motel/hotel rooms.
Initially we found the Hotel hard to find. More signage needed on main road. The couple who were filling in for a short time for the owners were fantastic and very helpful, nothing was a problem.
Would definitely stay there again
Serenity, hospitality and accomodation absolutely 1st class. Phillip and Karen are wonderful hosts allowing us to enjoy the beautiful views overlooking Te kuiti Thank you 😁😁😁😁😁

-DEFINITE “Schitts Creek Rosebud Motel” vibes

Easy location if you are travelling through Te Kuiti. Accommodation was pleasant and well provided for. Great breakfast options. Hosts were very helpful. Thank you
Nice and comfortable hotel with kitchen facilities and a good location (at least if you move around by car). During winter it was a warm and nice room.
