We greatly enjoyed our stay in the Quinta. The location is rural It is a great getaway for exploring the mountains, river beaches and the authentic villages. Parking was in front of the house. Driving the narrow roads to the accommodation could be little bit adventurous but with the smaller car is manageable. We had a double room with large terrace looking over the valley. Our room was smaller but cozy. The bed was comfy with the quality bedding. Bathroom was tastefully updated. The whole house is tastefully furnished with the antiques and art. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room and it offered a good selection of food. The owner was friendly and helpful. We appreciated evening herb tea and selection of tasty local cheese in the morning.

Adelina was wonderful! We arrived at the tiny but beautiful village on a cold and rainy day. After snuggling in and heating our little house, Adelina came by and offered to make us supper. She made us a great supper and we enjoyed every minute of her and her husband's company. We used Google translate to our good advantage. Enjoyed the supper she made in the local community building and watched some football with the locals. We were supposed to spend the next night in nearby Piodao but scrapped that for an extra night in Porto due to the cold weather. We did visit Piodao and found it to be overly commercial where as Arganil really seemed like the real deal.

Our host was kind and generous with her time answering our many questions. She bakes the most delicious cakes and serves a wonderful cup of coffee in a charming old world setting. The location is isolated, yet shouldn't be missed. Just enough choices of eateries in the town square.

I liked Inatel Piódão for the room and common spaces, including a covered swimming pool. I also liked the possibilities of having meals at Inatel. Moreover, it is a very quiet place and close to the historical village of Piódão.

The village is gorgeous! Well-worth a visit.
The village is gorgeous! Well-worth a visit. The people are really friendly. Bear in mind, the village is very remote and there are only 3 restaurants there, but if you love nature and true authenticity, Piódão is the right place.
Staff was very friendly, in particular considering the last minute changes in procedure that had to be implemented for the COVID situation. I liked the view of the room, the cleanliness of the place, and the cozyness of the place. I think next time I can make a better use of the facilities.
Prices are very good for what you get. I think I liked this place because more than a 4 star hotel, I would say it is a 5 start mountain shelter... or cabin, this is a good thing, as it is more in line with the environment.
The whole hotel is pretty, cozy and comfortable. The common areas and the room were nice and spacious. The staff were also nice. We bothered reception a few times to ask for cardboard games (uno, chess, dominoes were free) and the person there was always very nice. The breakfast was excellent. Dinner was 16€ per person but totally worth it (buffet, and nice desserts). And we paid 9€ for a bottle of wine. We enjoyed this hotel very much
so glad we decided to stay in this hotel! the staff were all so kind and welcoming. we were visiting during the quiet season i think, because there were hardly any other tourists at our hotel, which i personally enjoyed! the room was large with amazing views of the city. check in process was easy, breakfast was good, and the location overlooks the town on the top of the hill and is a 1-2 minute drive down the hill, so very convenient!
Absolutely a gem of a small comfortable hotel in a very special place. Wonderful scenery, views from our window were beautiful. Our host was more than accommodating. Wonderful breakfast. Beyond expectations.
A visit to Piodao is spectacular in itself and adding a night at the Casa da Padaria just made our trip so memorable.
Comfortable (communicating) rooms with good beds and great view on Piodao and the surroundings. Excellent wifi. Very friendly staff. Large breakfast buffet and also good food in the restaurant. Nice swimming pool. Games available for the children. Cosy bar. Private parking. Enjoyable walk to town
Casa da Padaria is a very beautiful stone house very close to the center of the village of Piodao and with a great view over the mountains. The house is extremely well maintained and clean. The breakfast was of high quality and the host is very pleasant. We strongly recommend.
The accommodation offered a charming stay in the historical village of Piodão, boasting an incredible location for sightseeing. The room was clean and comfortable, having a beautiful mountain view. Furthermore, the staff exhibited good hospitality.
Fantastic place in the mountains. Located in a schist village in some ways more charming than Piódão. Cozy place with a simple but more than ample breakfast. And all the firewood you could want for the fabulous fireplace. Thanks so much!
We loved everything! The village is beautiful. The hotel is lovely: very clean, well maintained, spectacular view from the room window. perfect! The landlady is gentle, pleasant, always present and caring. We really liked the place.
Nice airy big rooms, amazing views! Perfect rest day place if you’re doing the GR22
The room has a few little issues but they just give the place character. It’s a very relaxing easy going hotel
I liked the room, including the bathroom, the common areas with the sofas, the bar, the restaurant and, the swimming pool. I also liked the proximity to historical village of Piodão.
The whole “experience” in Piodão as such. Loved the house, loved the owner. The rooms are good and clean, nothing spectacular, but very authentic.
The breakfast was phenomenal!!!
I liked everything about the hotel, the view of the mountain and the little village below, very clean, staff very friendly, breakfast had a lot to choose from and quite tasty.
A fabulous small hotel in a fabulous historic village. Perfectly located, quiet, and gorgeous views. A wonderful breakfast was served in the morning. A great stay.
