Such a quiet and unique location off the Transfagarasan road - which is a great place to see some European Brown Bears. Staff were lovely and friendly (especially the dogs) - the room was on the smaller side, but super comfortable and well designed - the bathroom especially! We also had a lovely balcony overlooking the forest.
Surrounded by the lush garden, Casa Domneasca is located in the center of Curtea de Argeș. It offers an on-site restaurant serving international dishes, an indoor swimming pool and a gym.

This is a great Guesthouse for before or after the Transfagarasan Road.. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Bathroom is great with a real shower! Use of the shared kitchen is a plus. The owner shares his coffee beans with you which we really appreciate. Wifi is good, there is air-conditioning but we didn't need. There's plenty of parking, the area is very quiet

Very nice town, nice people.
Very nice town, nice people.
We managed to visit the monastery and in the evening there was a national event so it was very nice.
I think that within the limits of our time we covered the main thing.
I think it was possible to have more fun in the town.

Picturesque old town with two major atractions: the royal church with its exquisite 13th century frescoes and the Curtea de Argeș monastery. The town is a good base for exploring the reagion: Transfagarasan, Vidraru lake, Poenari fortress, Câmpulung Muscel, Hurezi Monastery (UNESCO WORLD heritage), Corbi church built in a clif with frescoes

Really nice town, at the foot of Carpathians and at the beginning of the famous road Transfagarash. There are lots of places to be seen in the town and in the surroundings, offering different experience for all ages and interests. Great place for couple of days stay.

The princely court ruins and St Nicholas church are not to be missed. The centre is great for walking around and the market is a great place to grab a snack. We liked the Municipal museum too. We also enjoyed the Romanian food at La Costica where the locals gather. Curtea de Arges was a great surprise!

This accommodation was very nice and stylish. We had a comfortable bed and a small terrace (balcony) on the ground floor. It was very quiet there, no noise from the street.
This small newly built hotel is administered by Monica, a very friendly woman who helped us a lot with information about Transfagarasan and recommended a nice place to eat as well as places to see in the city. Her English was very good.
Beautiful old, traditional cottages in a great location in Curtea de Arges, a walkable distance from the town center and the historic monastery. Rustic furnishings and comfortable amenities. The owners are wonderful and helped us with everything — they even let us borrow a power adapter to charge our phones since we’d lost ours. If you’re passing through Curtea de Arges, this is the place to stay.
Nice small hotel at the main road of the town. Everything is near. In 5 min by foot you can find bus station - that`s an easy way to get to Poenari. Just take local mini bus goeing to Arefu (cost - 6 lei, sheduled every day from 6am till 5pm) and ask to stop near last turn (left, to Arefu). 30 min walk distance to the stair for Poenari.
Spacious room and bathroom. Private parking in the courtyard. Clean. Busy road nearby is not really problematic at night with the windows closed. Easy walking distance to a Kaufland supermarket. The monastery that's the main attraction is within 20 minutes or so walking distance. Free cappuccino in the café of the hotel.
The hotel is well situated for those who come via Transfagarasian road. The neighborhood is simple. There is no elevator, but the stuff willingly help us with the luggage. Breakfast was very simple and basic. The room was clean but basic. Ac worked well but smoke detector was enervating.

Located in the city center. Nearby there are a few restaurants and places to hang out.
The hotel has a nice restaurant that serves amazing food. The staff is very nice. We've visited many places across the country, and this is in our opinion a top 5 restaurant located in a small city.
Hotel is built in the 1970's but recently undergone a high end renovation, and rooms are very clean and tastefully decorated. Good location, close to downtown, restaurants and Curtea de Arges monastery. Parking and breakfast was included in the room price.
It was nice, clean with soft, comfortable beds. Good food, generous portions and friendly staff. The internet worked fine during our stay. They have a private parking next to the hotel. The restaurant have a lot of authentic decor.
Excellent hotel to finalize our Transfagarasan road trip. The room was very comfortable. We had a great rest in the room. The in-house restaurant has splendid dinner options, and the included breakfast was great.
A very authentic hotel, located in the forest, picturesque view (I saw a fox from the window). Very hospitable and friendly owners. We slept through breakfast, but they prepared it especially for us. I recommend
Very nice and new property, awesome views to the town, 10-15 min walking to the Curtea de Arges church and 5 more to the center. Owner was very friendly and helpful.
