It is a very pleasant stay. The house is new and clean. It is in the center of a farm. When you get up in the morning, you see horses, cows, and chickens roaming around. The cabin comes with a huge floor to ceiling window, certainly a big plus!

If I come back iceland I would definitely book here for more nights. Definitely recommend stay more than a night here.

It was also in a good location for our continued Iceland adventure, and we were close to the Lava Centre and the wonderful Eldsto Art Cafe while here. AND, we happened upon a spectacular night view of the aurora borealis while sitting in the hot tub one night. What luck!

Feels like you are away from it all but the N1 and nearest town is only a 5 minute drive. The property is well situated for visiting many of the slights in southern Iceland. It’s lovely to come home to after a day out hiking. Very cosy and homely. Lovely light living space and very well equipped. The sauna was a real bonus!

Our cabin was comfortable and provided a brilliant nights sleep. The staff were super helpful and friendly and the breakfast choice was extensive, freshly cooked and delicious. Lucky! The room was very comfortable and assured a good night's sleep after a long drive. We decided not to take advantage of the outdoor hot tub in the evening, which we ended up regretting. Although, the negronis in the cozy lounge bar were not a bad option either. The best part of Aurora Lodge - the breakfast! Delicious porridge and scrambled eggs!
