Our only regret was that we didn't have enough time in our tight schedule to unwind and enjoy the place to the most. Host & owner were very receptive and helpful. They assisted us for a quick tour, book train tickets onwards and more. The authentic homely breakfast cooked by locals was awesome too..

I can only speak wonders of Khalid and his wife Abir. From the beginning they took us in and treated us as one of their own. We arrived with the sleeper train and Khalid was waiting on Elephantine Island to take us to his house. He showed us our floor in his house and then invited us to breakfast. No need to say it was exceptional, Abir is a wonderful cook. They helped us with everything. We had to wake up early in the morning to go to Abu Simbel and Khalid offered to take us across with his motorboat as the ferry was not working those hours. His wife even prepared us lunchbags. My husband also got sick throughout the voyage and They would continuously come to check if he was okay, and make tea with lemon and herbs. The most hospitable people I have met in Egypt. We also had doubts as to how to travel from Aswan to Luxor while stopping at Kom Ombo and Edfu. Khalid offered to organize a driver for us at a fraction of the minibus or tour prices. And while being transferred from aswan to luxor, he even called the driver to check on us. The kindest people in all Egypt. Big heart, comfortable home with lots of space and very clean. Great food. This place has it all. Thank you!

True Nubian Village experience complete with farm animals, freshly prepared Nubian meals, and excellent hospitality from the staff. (Note, this is not a hotel with the usual amenities like memory foam mattresses, towels in abundance, extra toiletries, central air, etc. If you are looking for that, then this is not the place for you.) Mamoud made the different for us during our stay. He is the guest services manager and he was punctual with responding to any requests we may have had and supplying us with information to get around town etc. Also a plus, the property is on the Nile River, which presented multiple opportunities for amateur and professional photo shoots. Overall, we genuinely enjoyed this experience and the people we encountered here. Great stay for a genuine Nubian village experience.

Quiet location, great view, away from the noisy center. Everything in the hotel is homemade, they cook very tasty. Very friendly owner, helped to organize tours and gave a lot of advice on further travel.
