She told me all the best places to go for antique shopping and hiking to the channel. And the cottage was newly renovated and exquisite in every detail. From the large, newly built wardrobe to the medallions and light fixtures on the ceilings to the beautiful lighting in the kitchen. Even the path to the hot tub was magical. Lizi even had homemade bread and eggs and milk for us. We will never forget you. You made so many memories for us in 48 short hours. Come to Texas and I’ll roll out the red carpet for YOU next time. Each cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped and welcoming. The outside area was ideal for our children, including the park and football area. Zak and his wife were so friendly and helpful it made our stay perfect.

The hosts couldn't be more friendly and they really make you feel welcome. The little details like the fresh flowers in the room, the welcome present, the chocolates, biscuits, tea and coffee in the room (even fresh milk!!) really make a difference and makes this place extra special. The breakfast is very good and plentiful with a lot of different things to choose from. The surroundings are beautiful and we loved the fact that there was birdfood outside of our window so we were able to enjoy watching the birds eat. Ray and Anne really went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible, which we are very grateful for. We 100% recommend this place!

Located in Sticklepath village on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, Brookside Cottage is just a 10-minute drive from Okehampton. Free WiFi is offered. This place is great. It is located in a small rustic village and the atmosphere is amazing. The apartment is in an old cottage with beautiful garden (right next to Finch Foundry). The room is a good size and the beds are comfortable. We also had our own kitchenette with microwave and fridge. Pete was a very nice host and cooked a great breakfast of our choice. He also recommended places to visit nearby. Our daughter enjoyed playing with the dog and feeding the chickens.
