La Volta is located in Como, 600 metres from Basilica of San Fedele, 300 metres from Como Cathedral, and 300 metres from Broletto. A beautiful cosy apartment right across the road from Como Lago train station. A lovely host that met us earlier than check in time as we had arrived. So close to Lake and ferry. We walked everywhere and so many great places for food and drinks. Apartment had everything you needed, full kitchen, dish washer and washing machine. Very clean and modern with lovely towels. Even left us coffee pods and some snacks. Supermarket was 2 mins walk in 2 different directions. Would highly recommend staying here.

This is a gem of a property, tucked away in a gated courtyard in the centre of Lecco, just a few minutes walk from the station, the lake, the shops and supermarket, and all the restaurants. Alberto and Paola are kind, thoughtful and generous hosts who have carefully considered everything you could possibly need, including umbrellas and wet weather ponchos, games and children's colouring books. Open all the drawers and cupboards on arrival, and you will be amazed at all the extras which have been provided! Thank you Alberto and Paola for creating such a lovely place to stay. We would love to come again.

Set 17 km from Villa Carlotta, Baita Eleonora offers accommodation with a patio, as well as pool with a view and a garden. Wonderful family hotel, with very friendly and welcoming people. Great food and a great location. The peace and quiet of the mountain area.

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Acchiappasogni Holiday House is located in Malgrate, 21 km from Bellagio Ferry Terminal and 23 km from Circolo Golf Villa d'Este. The stay was amazing. I really love the possibility to eat breakfast in the garden with the view for mountains. The area is residential so it is very calm and relaxing. It is very easy to get there by train or bus, in a few minutes walk there is also a supermarket (very well equiped - you can find products for every type of diet) and the lake coast with several restaurants - ideal to spend an evening there or take a bath. The town has direct bus and train connections to other towns and villages in the region and they are operating 7 days a week (important for who does not drive a car;))

Situated in Como, 1.7 km from Broletto, Villa Platamone has a number of amenities including free bikes, a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. Historical harming villa with all the modern amenities. The staff makes everyone feel like royalty, very kind and accommodating.

Located in Bellagio in the Lombardy region, with Villa Melzi Gardens and Bellagio Ferry Terminal nearby, Agriturismo Il Colle provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The property is located in gorgeous environment with a stunning view on the Lake Como. The room was clean. fresh and comfortable. We enjoyed our fantastic breakfast on the terrace with Lake Como in the background. The breakfast was absolutely great with home baked cakes and bread. Special thanks to Luigi for the freshly prepared scrambled eggs! The cappuccino was extremely tasty, too.

Located in Varenna, Varenna Sweet Home provides air-conditioned accommodation with a patio and free WiFi. The property has quiet street views. The Apartment is really nice, clean, well kept and looked after. Host really nice and accomodating he let us leave our luggage. Location very good literally one minute walk to the train station. Basic supermarket a few minutes walk away. Lakeside and ferry 5 minutes walk. Great base to explore Lake Como. Restaurants, bars and takeaways all in walking distance. Great to have outside space after a busy day. Varenna and Lake Como particularly nice early in a morning and on an evening. My advice if you are visiting in August get up and early before people arrive in large numbers via train from Milan.
