We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.

Howard made himself available any time we needed something, and the breakfast materials every day enhanced our stay. We would highly recommend staying here if tou want to fisit the beach or mountains, Terrace on the Cloud is convenient to both.

To Casa Seorak Bed and Breakfast είναι σε Σόκο, σε Gangwon-Do και σε κοντινή απόσταση από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Λιμάνι Daepo. Προσφέρει καταλύματα με δωρεάν WiFi και δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης.... The hosts are super friendly and helpful, went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Just perfect. They really helped us. The breakfasts were very tasty and delivered to the room door. We stayed 8 nights and there was always something to do. There are beautiful mountains in the Seoraksan park for hiking, beaches in walking distance and cool Sokcho town is really close too.

Το Cat on a Hot Tin Roof προσφέρει δωρεάν WiFi, βεράντα και κλιματισμό. Είναι σε Yangyang, ενώ απέχει 300μ από Παραλία Jukdo και 1,5 χλμ από Παραλία Ingu. Unique little apartment, original atmosphere. Well-decorated and very friendly place.

Το Grace River House-Block B έχει θέα στο βουνό και προσφέρει κήπο, βεράντα και παροχές για μπάρμπεκιου. Το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Oxfield CC είναι περίπου 16 χλμ μακριά. Perfect location with great vieuw on the river. Very comfortable house with large living and plenty balconies. The house was very clean and roomy. The host is very kind and does everything to make the stay easy and pleasurable.

Το Magenta βρίσκεται στο Donghae, σε απόσταση 2,6χλμ. από την παραλία Daejin και 2χλμ. από την κεντρική αγορά Donghae. Προσφέρει κλιματιζόμενα καταλύματα με θέα στη θάλασσα και δωρεάν Wi-Fi. Firstly, I stayed in the Martin room and the ocean view was magnificent. It was on the third floor and really clean. I liked that there was a cafe on the first floor. I think it was an excellent business idea. They had my favorite coffee “cold brew”. ❤️
