We wanted a quiet comfortable stay within a short distance from the centre of York. The keys were easily accessible and the host met us on arrival. The grounds were stunning and the room was comfortable and clean with all the facilities we needed. It was lovely and quiet and I would certainly recommend the Vavasour to friends and family looking for the same experience.

beautiful house warm and welcoming great location greeted by the owner given early check in to accommodate the 2 babies we had as well as a high chair and gates being fitted the welcome basket was a lovely surprise

Loved being in the countryside. 4 miles from York City. Spacious room with en suite. We had the Duke room. Great being able to cook our own meals in a huge well stocked kitchen. You need to take your own food although tea and coffee supplied.Plenty of frig and freezer space as well as a frig in our room.

The staff went above and beyond and were always on hand. We stayed in the garden suite and it was gorgeous. The location was superb… it was quiet and peaceful but only a short walk from the centre of York. Just wish we could have stayed for another night! I couldn’t leave a review without mentioning Teddy the cat… such a friendly little guy and really made the whole experience more homely. We will definitely be returning!

It's located right out in the country, very peaceful and quiet, the only sounds around were from the sheep in the fields. This is a very dog friendly property. There was a jar of dog biscuits to welcome our pet. Other staples, milk, sugar, coffee etc was awaiting our arrival which was very nice. The bed was super big and very comfy.
