Love this great position in town, the budget cabins are very budget, probably would upgrade to next level, cheap and cheerful I would say, clean and everything provided, probably good for a family and not 5 adults. Children would love the bunk beds as we did not. Overall the staff are amazing, the park is great, plenty of kangaroos, birds and very handy to the town and shops, I will be back for sure.

Love nature so enjoyed visiting MacKenzie Falls which has paths to viewing points for people of all abilities; even has a “resident” emu!
Plenty of places for hiking.
Halls Gap Zoo is a fabulous place to visit with so many birds and animals to see and interact with.
Good choice of places to eat - we particularly thought The Kookaburra Hotel and the Halls Gap Hotel Bistro were particularly good with great food, great service, great atmosphere and great staff. Avoid Halls Gap Tavern at all costs!
Plenty of accommodation options in most price ranges
(best to avoid Kookaburra Lodge Motel if you want value for money and want even the bare minimum of housekeeping!)
Basic shopping centre … but they DO have great ice cream and tasty fish and chips available there and a big playground for families with younger children.
Beware the kangaroos as you drive around, they are everywhere at any given time of the day.
Beautiful place to relax and enjoy.

Absolutely stunning, it had been years since i was there last and once again the friendliness of all the staff at the shops and attractions around could not be faulted.
Let alone the food options in and around Halls Gap - Barneys Barn - Pomonel Estate , Indian , boutique beers and ciders, there are so many , you will never go hungry.
The local Zoo is a highlight- go the extra mile and book a animal experience - Red Pandas are adorable.
Halls Gap is a gem of Victoria and is well worth the visit. There is something there for everyone, you can be as active or as relaxed as you prefer.

The Grampians National Park is excellent for walking and hiking at any time of the year. Halls Gap has a variety of accommodation types from camping to higher end. There are various places to eat, from usual so-so pub food to good quality food including vegan. We are at the Kookaburra which had excellent food (including vegetarian) served with delicious vegetables rather than chips and The Spirit of Punjabi which always serves excellent food (by robot now!). It also has a range of delicious vegan dishes. If you are into art and creativity check out Grampians Textures and Grampians Brushes - both are packed full of excellent workshops.

There are enough shops and bars for a short stay, and the location is excellent for exploring the trails in the area.
The tourist information centre was helpful but wasn't quite up to speed with some trail closures which appear.tto have been made some time ago.
Overall Halls Gap is a great place to stay for an adventure break.
Great cabins with everything needed for a comfortable stay - well equipped and thoughtfully planned. Nice extra touches like complimentary guest laundry and a lovely green space with a water feature and lots of bird life that you can view from your deck. Close to many hikes in the Grampians including some nearby that start from the townsite. The owner provided lots of helpful suggestions for hikes and other activities, and had 2 local guidebooks in the cabin with hike descriptions and maps.
Ellimata was a beautiful house in a wonderful location - 10 minutes walk from town and a bit further for bushwalks in the Gap, 20 minutes by foot in the other direction to the adventure golf and cafe (not to be missed!) and fields of kangaroos and emus. The drives around Halls Gap were also really lovely, as was the climb up to the Pinnacle. The house itself had all the features you would hope for and many more; it really was well equipped.
The chalet was very comfortable, clean, roomy with spa bath, walking distance to a great Indian restaurant & shops. The chalet has everything we needed. Privacy around the chalet was excellent. The carport was nice & big. Our chalet was no. 3. The owner Peter was a gentleman, although he's retiring to NSW :( (but of course we wish you all the best Peter). The patio around the chalet was also nice.
Enjoyed our stay. Easy to find in Halls Gap. Comfortable accommodation. Everything you could need. Shops in close proximity. Easy drive to sights. Log fire and reverse cycle airconditioning. Modern bathroom. Service was quick and our host very ameniable. Kangaroos come right up to your room. View of Grampians sensational.
Can recommend for a couple who like room or a family of 4.
The location was excellent to the main area of Halls Gap. The room was large and all essential items were in the room,
e.g. toaster, crockery, microwave etc. The bed was very comfortable. Parking was close to room access.
Lovely aspect looking towards the Grampians. If we could be critical the room was a little tied. Value for money
very good for a family stay.
We had a great time. Gorgeous and calm country side location (but with a pub/hotel at walking distance). Very short and easy ride to Halls Gap. Very friendly and attentive staff (a family runs the business). Excellent for toddlers and young children, some animals and a nice playground. The cabin was clean and well equipped. We'll go back there in our next visit.
The Grampians Nest 2 bedroom house was more than adequate for our 4 night stay. In a quiet street on the edge of Halls Gaps. Easy distance for sightseeing shops or relaxation at the house with kangaroos, parrots and cockatoos paying regular visits.
The location of the property was perfect so we could walk into Halls Gap daily and the room was comfortable for a family of 4. Tony and the team were welcoming even through a contactless check in/out.
Clean room with comfortable bed, good internet connection, parking directly in front of room. Is about a 5-10 minute drive from main area in Halls Gap and would need a vehicle to be in the area
This is the place to stay in Halls Gap. Scenic location. Jenny and Mark are exceptional. Their warm welcome, friendliness just add to the charm of this place. We will keep coming back for sure.
The location of Gariwerd Motel is just perfect.
It saved us a lot of time staying right in Halls gap.
We could easily cover various sight seeing points within 20 -30 minutes of driving.
These cabins are well located (2 minute drive from the hustle of the main st)
The cabins are well maintained, super clean, well equipped.
A/C great for our very hot days at Halls Gap.
The house is amazing. It is very confortable, fully furnished, bedroom are huge. The place is very quiet. It was really nice to stay at the Day dream cottage!
