The staff were fine. There isn't really any interaction with the staff as you pay through a small window in the lobby.
They offered Netflix on the tvs in our room.
The shower is good. Clean stall, nice water pressure.
In the area, there are places to eat and drink at night.

The hotel has great service and accommodated our late arrival after midnight. The rooms were clean and the staff members were very courteous. We booked rooms that included breakfast and after selecting our options the night before, they delivered the food to our room at the decided time.

Jeonju is a great place to visit for the traditional Hanok Village. Everything is in an easily walkable area if you stay in the visit or come in for the day. There are plenty of things to see, including “hidden” areas one of the free tours will show you.

Jeonju has a nice preserved hanok hood, however, it is clearly gentrifying quickly and prepared for massive tourism. The rest of the city has little interest. One afternoon to walk in the hanoks and dine should be enough.

Really neat experience to get an idea about traditional...
Really neat experience to get an idea about traditional Korean architecture and clothes. Obviously, the town has modernized to have coffee shops, etc., but the buildings in the city center have been maintained in a traditional style, and the popularity of renting the traditional Korean clothing lends a unique atmosphere.
We visited the Shrine, highly recommended. Nothing exotic, but good information about that time in Korean history and some of the events that made Jeonju what it is.
Some really great restaurants, look up best places to eat in Jeonju, we tried 3 out of the top 10 and were super pleased with all 3.
The traditional Hanok was a unique place to stay that was an inexpensive way to experience a little of what traditional homes were like. Obviously converted to hotel-type rooms, but the idea was there and it was a fun way to spend a weekend.
Highly Recommend!!

This was a really great opportunity to experience a historic aspect of South Korea. I enjoyed staying in a Hanok and I did a photoshoot in the Hanbok. It was like walking around on the set of a period piece.

Jeonju Hanok Village is a really nice place to visit, don't hesitate to get lots in the small narrow streets. Take half a day to visit Jamal Mural Village, it worth it for the paintings on the houses.
To eat I would recommand Jeondong Ddeokgalbi and Veteran restaurants, first one for bibimbap and 2nd for noodles and dumplings.

Nice mid sized city with a bit of open space along the river...
Nice mid sized city with a bit of open space along the river. Jeonju Hanok Village is worth a visit. Real touristy place but loads of people dressed in Hanbok so great place for people watching. Plenty of touristy souvenir shops if thats your thing. Plenty of Westeners and Chinese tourists dressed up in Hanboks which added to the people watching experience.
The location of the hanok was very good, right in the middle of the Jeonju hanok village. The landlady was very friendly and welcoming, she made sure I had evrything I needed and took the time to talk to me whenever we met. The breakfast was provided at the owners restaruant around the corner, traditional Korean food, very tasty and filling. The room was small and neat and sleeping on the floor was more comfortable than expected! A very well priced, clean and comfortable pleace in an excellent location.
This was the perfect location to experience Jeonju Hanok village, situated in the village itself. The room and private bathroom was beautifully maintained and clean and the host couple were so friendly and warm and especially helpful with their recommendations. Walking distance from a multitude of delicious food places but also from nambu market, gyeonggiijeon shrine, hyanggyo Confucian school and the jaman mural village and right next to the beautiful river, everything was peaceful and picturesque.
It's located near the back of the hanok village so it's not as busy. We love that the ondol (heated floor) is turned on at night and the floor you're sleeping on is warm and room is comfortable even as the temperature falls at night. the owner/manager lives on the facility so it's convenient when you have to ask questions. He is also helpful with recommendations. The hotel is an easy hike/walk to one of the historical buildings (the Omokdae) and also to the Jaman mural village.
The owners were both super lovely and really tried their best to go above and beyond, not just for us but for other guests as well. Location was close to everything. The Hanok Village is an easy walk away.
As a hostel, one doesn't usually go in with a lot of expectation but the room and bathroom were clean, the air conditioning functional. A little bit of an older building hut definitely well kept. If we head back to Jeonju we'll be staying here again.
GaEunChae is right in the middle of Jeonju's Hanok village. There are a lot of shops and convenience stores really close by. The location is really beautiful and peaceful, I felt sorry we couldn't stay in it longer.
It was also quite hot when we were there, so the host gave us bottles of water each day we were there.
The room itself is small but very comfortable. The air-conditioning also worked perfectly.
Would absolutely recommend Hanok Dream and would stay here again next time we are in Jeonju. Great location, clean and comfortable rooms. The owners of the Hanok were so kind and generous and made a huge effort to make sure we enjoyed Jeonju, sitting us down to show us all of the attractions and food spots on the maps and even doing some research on transport to surrounding hikes.
The owners are adorable. The hanok was lovely, with clean and modern bathroom, AC which worked perfectly well and sleeping on a futon was way better than expected. Its location is perfect, as it is in the quite area of the hanok village.
Overall very good value for money. If I ever go back to Jeonju I will definitely sleep in Sarangroo again.
Located right in middle of Jeonju hanok village (slightly hidden behind the pavillion in the streets intersection), friendly Korean couple who lives also there, very nice breakfast, clean and unique experience staying in korean traditional house. Owners kindly call taxi for our transfer to bus station and saw us off, very nice!
This place is definitely one of the top choices of Hanok experience for tourist, because of the nice host and beautifully maintained room. The location was great at the centre of the Jeonju Hanok Village. The host prepared healthy breakfast and the room was warm and clean during the cold spring time.
Very nice location in the Jeonju ‘s hanok village
The host was very nice he gave us a lot of recommandation restaurants, emblematic places to visit and some advice
He helped us to go to our next location
He speaks English !
Great experience of hanok
This was a beautiful place to stay with kind and caring hosts in a great location at the centre of the Hanok village. The bathroom is clean and modern. Breakfast was simple but delightful. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Jeonju.
The location is good, right in front of Jeonju Hanok Village. Facilities are good, room was warm (I stayed in autumn) and everything was kept clean. The owner is so good, he gave tourist attractions map and explains everything in details 👍🏻
Free breakfast, coffee and tea. Washer/dryer available. Ten minutes walk to the Jeonju Hanok Village. 7/11 mere steps away. The host was very kind and gave a map of popular locations. Room was decent sized, bed was double.
Really nice room for good price, perfect for short stay in Jeonju. Located a bit longer walk from Jeonju Hanok Village, but if you are lazy you can alway tak a taxi. Fun feature was LG Styler in the room.
It is a hotel with traditional rooms, so the comfort is not what westerners may be used to. Overall, everything we needed was provided and the hotel is very well located in the hanok village.
