on the beach, expect constant stalking and harassment on a whole new level (and i've been to 70 countries including 7 other countries in Africa) people will rudely interrupt your conversations or meddle even when you tend to children in case to offer their (sometimes illegal) goods or services, and become angry if ignored, or just keep standing/walking next to you, sometimes in groups, sometimes to the hotel door or whatever other destination, trying to imitate your language all the while if you talk back to them and allow them to tag along, they will demand money for their time/effort afterwards so definitely not recommended for families with kids, and generally you have to be tough to be able to enjoy the (very dirty) beach despite all this

Nungwi is probaly the nicest beach in Zanzibar.
Nungwi is probaly the nicest beach in Zanzibar. Its not overcrowded and yet has enough restaurants and bars. Alway take care when walking along the beach, when you try to return you might not be able to due to high and low tide. Also visting and eating at the fish food market is a must, tgey have daily fresh fish and seafood and tge prices are affordable

The beach and the resorts are beautiful. People are amazing! This situation with the Masai though its literally unbearable. They don't know when to stop bothering you. I am there to enjoy the sun and the beach not to be harassed by them, after I kindly explained that I don't wish to talk, have a good day, they literally follow me and don't leave me alone. Nungwi used to be a small fishersmen's town, but it is now buzzing with bars, hotels and restaurants and lots of activities to do. If you want to go on a snorkeling trip, or have other fun activities. Then this is your spot. I appreciated the beautiful ful of the ocean - with the clear blue waters and the fishermen working.

What i liked most is the Staff who were very caring especially when my daughter fell ill there did their best to help her. Food and ambience were just great not forgetting about the friendly owners, I would definately recommend a friend of even family members at your property, I have nothing to complain of.

The staff are amazing, Halima and Helda made my stay so much easier, they helped me with everything, changing money, pharmacy, getting around, all kinds of tips and tricks and also with organising trips with the best price I had in Zanzibar. I would recommend the hotel to everyone a 100 times. Thanks once again to amazing Halima and Helda for everything :)

Shout out to William who spoke with us about what to do/see during our time in Zanzibar. The view from our room was beautiful and the hotel grounds were spectacular. It was also perfectly safe and very interesting to walk in to Nungwi town either down the beach or via the main road. The Riu app worked fine and we were able to eat in each speciality restaurant during our stay...:)

Location is perfect, just 1-2 minutes from the beach by walking and very close to all touristic attractions in Nungwi. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Staff was so helpful and friendly, always with smiling faces. It might be hard to find good breakfast in Zanzibar, but breakfast in babalao was much better then we expected! We had great time there. I would highly recommend this place!
