We were treated like kings. Lois, our hostess, went out of her way to really make our time in her home the best and most special possible. She stayed up at night to make sure we are safe home - we felt really spoiled...
We were so privileged to have dinner and breakfast with her. She is a cooking goddess. A big part of the treat was the viewing of the table, our place placements and of course the plates of food and deliciousness that were placed in front of us. Everything was from another world — in a class of their own. Unbeatable!

The Hosts, Dan and Alta, were amazing and made me feel like family from the moment i arrived. They were so accommodating and yet, even though they live a few meters away, were completly non-intrusive. As a female solo traveller, I found their proximity reassuring, especially since my stay coincided with gale force winds in the area.
The Flatlet itself was self-contained, spotlessly clean and perfectly situated for a weekend getaway. The linen and bedding were all freshly laundred and smelled amazing and the beds super comfortable, which made getting out of bed a bit difficult in the mornings.
The Grotto Bay area is peaceful quiet and exceptionally safe.
