This 19th century colonial mansion is located in Pelourinho, facing Baía de Todos os Santos Bay. The Casa do Amarelindo is a very nice boutique hotel located on a pedestrian street in the heart of the historic Pelourinho section of Salvador. We stayed 7 nights at the end of January in a deluxe room with balcony and a view of the bay. The room was extremely comfortable with an enormous bed and an excellent bathroom. The included breakfast was very good and was served to us, rather than being a buffet style. We also had dinner a couple of nights at the hotel's restaurant, which was delicious. Everyone working at the hotel was very friendly, cheerful and helpful. To reach the hotel, we had the hotel send a driver to pick us up at the airport and take us straight to the hotel. This worked out very well and we used the same service when we left. We loved our stay at Casa do Amarelindo and the next time we go to Salvador we'll stay there again.

This is a small boutique hotel located next to the Praça da Sé, a popular square in the heart of Pelourinho. Public transportation and the Elevator Lacerda are a short walk away. Location is great, and so was the room and the breakfast--AND every single staff member was cheerful and friendly and helpful.

Situated in Salvador, within walking distance from Pelourinho, Hotel Pousada da Mangueira features an outdoor pool and beautiful gardens. Great hotel with pretty views on the city. Well located near the historical center (within walking distance). Nice pool. Good breakfast. Comfortable and clean. The staff were INCREDIBLY helpful and friendly.

Conveniently situated in the centre of Salvador, Hostel Galeria 13 provides air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. Pablo the owner was absolutely incredible. He went above and beyond in every way. He learned all our names, gave us really detailed advice on what to do for tourist activities and never went wrong for food recommendations! A really nice sociable activity was cultivated and we became fast friends with other guests and a suggestion for evening activities was made every night. An amazing place to stay

We had such a great time! The hosts were extremely kind, helpful and flexible! The breakfast was great and the rooms very comfortable. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated in Pelourinho. Situated in the peaceful Pelourinho neighborhood, Laranjeiras is a recently reformed hostel with free Wi-Fi, cheerful yellow exteriors and ornamental patios. Excellent varied breakfast included in price and served in their café on the bottom floor, nice staff and pleasant space to sit and linger/work after breakfast. Great wifi. I loved the amazing location on a street with old colorful houses, right across from the Olodum school, which pretty much meant free drumming shows when they practiced on the street right in front of the hostel entrance! Nice shared bathrooms with several shower stalls (male/female separate), with hand soap and toilet paper. Helpful people at the reception, one block to a square with places to eat and outside music at night. Loved this hostel.
