Offering Japanese-style rooms with river views and an en suite bath, Takao Kanko Hotel is 600 metres from Jingo-ji Temple. The stay was such an amazing experience, a relaxing break in a lovely and very familiar place, where they will treat you as a very welcomed guest while you live the japanese experience. Arigato!

A Kiyotakigawa folyó mentén található Momojiya Annex szálláshelye hagyományos szobákat kínál nyitott terű fürdőszobával és kilátással az erdőre. Everything was perfect, the hotel is located in the mountain and is so peaceful. The staff were amazing, we felt at home. Private onsen was awesome. Dinner and breakfast are included and were traditionnal Japanese food which was very good. Free transfer available to the nearest subway station.

A 10-minute drive from Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ryokan Yamazaki offers a hot public bath and serves breakfast and traditional dinners for an additional fee. I was traveling together with a friend and she preferred to book a place a bit outside of the city. The place is still very accessible by bus (stop is almost in front of the house), or even the tram if (you don’t mind a 15 minutes walk). The staff was very kind and welcoming and you will easily get along with English, if you don’t speak Japanese. The rooms were tidy and comfortable and would also recommend to take the Japanese breakfast in the house. Cannot judge the dinner since we usually returned late and ate somewhere else. Highly recommend the ryokan!
