Hotell i Takao, Kyoto

Takao Kanko Hotel erbjuder rum i japansk stil med utsikt över en flod och eget badrum. Det ligger 600 meter från templet Jingo-ji. This place really is prettier than the pictures. We were picked up by the kind hotel staff at the bus station, and the short trip down to the hotel was magical. Kiyotaki river is so beautiful, and all the foliage casts a green light over the valley. The hotel with it’s lanterns lit makes it look like a fairytale. The staff is really very friendly and helpful, the service is topnotch. The room was very cozy, with a great view from the window. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful with lots of hiking opportunities. The hike to hozukyo was amazing!

Momojiya Annex ligger längs floden Kiyotakigawa och erbjuder traditionella rum med eget utomhusbad och utsikt över skogen. Här finns allmänna bad och gratis fast internet i allmänna utrymmen. Everything was perfect, the hotel is located in the mountain and is so peaceful. The staff were amazing, we felt at home. Private onsen was awesome. Dinner and breakfast are included and were traditionnal Japanese food which was very good. Free transfer available to the nearest subway station.

A 10-minute drive from Kinkaku-ji Temple, Ryokan Yamazaki offers a hot public bath and serves breakfast and traditional dinners for an additional fee. Great decision to stay here. Our room was overlooking the gorge and wooded area behind the property, and I went to sleep every night hearing nothing but the babbling brook outside our window. JR and city buses will get you downtown or to the other attractions in the area. Very good Japanese breakfast.
