The staff was very nice, and they gave us a gift due to it being our anniversary, which was very sweet! The pool was also clean and at a great temperature 10/10

I have been staying at other expensive hotels in Houston at least twice a week, but I wanted to experience something different. And I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The prices were reasonable, the rooms were stunningly beautiful and impeccably clean. The location was convenient, and the customer service exceeded my expectations. I have never experienced such exceptional service before. This hotel has truly surpassed all my expectations. Situated within walking distance of the Galleria Mall, Hotel Derek provides a upscale accommodation with a 24-hour fitness centre, bar and on-site dining. The manager got involved in my check in. I had the wrong weekend checked on the reservations calendar online. She secured a room with a comparable price and allowed me to stay. It would have been terrible to look for another hotel at that time of night. Kuddos to the night manager. I asked her name but I can't remember it. She was so professional and courteous.

In the centre of Houston's Galleria area, this hotel features spacious rooms and suites with a flat-screen cable TV. It offers an outdoor pool and fitness centre. Awesome location in the city around restaurants for ANY budget. The service was amazing, the cookies were delicious and warm...(that's a bonus), was not able to hear my neighbors. Overall a great stay! This was probably my 6th time staying here and I cannot remember having complaints.
