We had an incredible stay with Denise and Phoebe the cat. Everyday began with a breakfast at Denise's breakfast table where we shared stories and sighed about poltics or learned new things about the area's archaeological digs. Denise is a lovely, well-informed, easygoing and hospitable person. She took a lot of trouble to suggest things that we'd enjoy and things we should look out for. Even her other guests were warm and gracious and friendly. The rooms are simply delightful, very comfortable and well-equipped. The area is in a high-security neighborhood. Outside the room is a couple of tables and chair as well as the patio area you see in the picture if you just want to chill and read a book. I think the best part is that Denise relies on water tanks and solar energy, so there is no fear of load shedding or water cuts to dampen your stay. I think I could happily stay a month or more at such a comfortable place. And Denise let us use her garage to park our rental car so we weren't worried about it either.

Its location is great, as it's accessible to quite a whole lot of places such as shopping complexes, bars, clubs and transport stations. A great choice and good value for money... until next time.

Melville is about 10-15 mins drive from Wits Univ, and the CBD. 5) There were no power cuts in the 7 days that we were there 6) The parking is secure, within the electrified fence of the property and electric gates, also the parking area is spacious 7) There is a supermarket and fast food outlet about 5 mins walk away 8) The owners live over the wall in the next house in the street, so that you have complete privacy 9) The owners Pierre and Corlien are very helpful In summary this was very good value for money
