We came in January and had the place to ourselves much to our disbelief.

Vík town centre is within 20 minutes’ drive, while Skógarfoss Waterfall is even closer. one of the best places we stayed in in Iceland! although shared facilities, they were always kept super clean! great well equipped kitchen available to all guests! I would recommend staying here!

Set on a traditional Icelandic farm, Setberg Guesthouse is located outside of Höfn, a 14-minute drive from the seaside village centre. Located at the foot of mountains, you can enjoy the impressive view from the room or go hiking for a closer look. We LOVED our stay here, and would 200% return on our next trip to Iceland! The host is a very kind man who runs a farm, and greeted us outside even though we arrived late to the guesthouse. Everything is exquisitely clean, thoughtful, and modernized. The beds were cozy and the room was very spacious, and the bathrooms (shared) were luxurious. One particular example of his thoughtfulness was the fact that he had purchased a very considerate array of shampoos for guests (children's shampoos, sulfate free, color-safe, mens). You can tell he went above and beyond to make his place a great stay, and it shows! We loved this place and only wish we had spent more time in the Hofn region. Thank you, and we hope we can return soon!
