Most lovely location inside the fort. The income and placement of the hotel make for a part of the fort that is perfectly maintained in its old glory. Without a doubt, when in Jaisalmer, book the Killa Bhawan!!! it is worth going up with the riksha or tuktuk (cars cannot go to the top) and staying in rooms with an amazing view!!! All of us loved it, including a couple of friends with their 1yr old little girl! We hopefully will be back soon for a much longer stay!

We visited Sandcastle Resort while touring India on our motorcycles and were extremely pleased by the quality of our accommodation. The resort is close to the attractions in Jaisalmer but also far enough away to provide peace, quiet and tranquility. The finish and decor in our room was brilliant, the bed was extremely comfortable, everything was clean, and our host was kind and helpful. Many thanks for a relaxing stay!

The owner hanif and staff were so helpful starting with a free pickup from the train station and at the end he even took us to the train station at 2 am for free! He also arranged an 1night 2 day desert safari for us, and was available for any questions we had. The safari he arranged was a great experience. Our camel safari guide babu was the absolute best, really recommend asking for him if you’re planning to do the safari! He brings a great cheerful vibe and cooks delicious meals and chai (and teaches you how to) on open fire in the desert. He is also a very interesting and funny guy and really made our trip a memorable one :). The hostel has a very homey vibe and babu also told us the owner is always very good to him and his staff, which is always good to hear!

We enjoyed our stay at Sonal Desert Camp very, very much. Its a newly built place and everything is very clean and fresh. Especially loved the beds. Sittning outside watching the stars in the evening was really magic, it was our first trip to the desert so we didn't know what to expect, but were amazed to see how well organised everything was. Both Mr Hakam and mr Abhai are very kind and caring persons. We would love to return to this place in the future, hopefully with our kids. Such an adventure to ride the camels over the soft dunes 🐫😊

The guest house is also conveniently located near various restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore the local cuisine and purchase souvenirs. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere after a long day of sightseeing. Additionally, the staff at the guest house is extremely helpful and accommodating, ensuring that all your needs are met during your stay. Overall, my time at the small and cozy family guest house in Jaisalmer was truly memorable, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I highly recommend the camp experience, because it is a great way to take a break from the chaos of Indian cities. We booked 2 tents and I can say that they were truly beautiful. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom and room in general were super clean. We had enough hot water to take two showers, which is not a given in this country. At sunset we took a camel ride and it was truly magical. We then had dinner in the desert around a fire and the food was truly delicious. What strikes you the most, however, is the kindness of Shambu, the owner of this place. He first came to pick us up in the city and then throughout our stay he was super helpful and attentive to our every need. The structure is new, only two years old, but I can say that it has potential. I wish Shambu great success, because he really deserves it.

Activities in sand dunes are a bit high priced as the rides are very short paced, so be watchful when you decide to take those rides. The dunes also serve as the venue for traditional Rajasthani folk performances, including music, dance, and folk songs, adding a touch of local culture to the desert landscape. Additionally, adventurous travelers can engage in activities like sandboarding and jeep safaris to explore the dunes. The Sam Sand Dunes offer an enchanting desert experience.

Fantastic experience. The camp is located away from the main cluster of desert camps. The tent is spacious and clean. Both air con and heating are available. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and even went out of their way to make non spicy food for my children. Excellent experience.
