simply amazing - beautiful nature around, quiet at night, spacious enough for a couple even for a longer stay, super comfortable bed, many hiking routes directly accessible, animals around - donkeys, wild rabbis and peacocks...it really had all we needed + the best host...thank you and hope to be back!

The location, the accomodation, nature.. everything was amazing. The house is well equipped, the views are stunning, and there is quiet and calmness all around.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

These eco lodges are a great concept and unique. Just 20 minutes from Funchal and grocery stores yet they feel a world away. Private, comfortable and spacious, this location is convenient to explore the hiking trails in the area or up to Pico do Areeiro. A heater with fan came in handy after a few misty days hiking. The Nespresso machine and super hot water for showers were appreciated. Duklo takes great care managing the property and was a super host - including replacing the coffee machine the same day when the one in our unit didn’t work.

Location amongst the trees, great hikes nearby (including the famous Pico to Pico, which starts a short drive away) and a sunset hike on the doorstep, peaceful, friendly meet & greet from host and quick responses to messages, but not hassled. Bedding, towels and shower etc of good quality. Comfortable bed. Heater warmed the cabin up nicely when required.
