We were warmly welcomed and the place is loved by adults as well as children. Asanka's wife Sadamali prepared our dinner and it was the best meal we had in Sri Lanka. The hotel arranged the safari. The jeep driver who provides excellent service is the best guide. The sound of the river is like a bavana throughout the night. Love it.

Good value for money, dinner was very good!! And the staff is very friendly. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean! We took a safari with them and it was great. Totally recommend it

This is one of the best locations I’ve visited so far. Situated in a very remote area where there’s limited access to outer world. You have to take a basic nature trail to reach the destination which my family enjoyed much. once you entered the premises it’s like you stepped into another country. Very calm and peaceful environment so we need to adopt to the destination. I recommend this place to all nature lovers who look for places where you can blend with nature. Limited electricity so prepare yourself with backups. (power banks, flashlights, ect)

Situated in Udawalawe, 17 km from Udawalawe National Park, Kottawatta River Bank Resort features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This was a lovely little oasis and the perfect spot to stay before our family went on safari. The staff were very hospitable and also helped in arranging our trip to the park on our arrival.

Athgira River Camp is located at the door step of Udawalawe National Park with views of Rakwana River. It’s very close to Udawalawe reservoir and to the Elephant Orphanage. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was good and the pool area was nice. They arranged the safari to Udawalawe National Park. The driver took us around the park.
