Such a privilege for the Mt Cook Station family to let us share a taste of their stunning corner of the island on this busy working farm. Tucked away from all the Mt Cook tourism and yet seemingly within touching distance of Aoraki. Spectacular views on the drive in - along almost the full length of the east coast of beautiful Lake Pukaki..the approach from Lake Tekapo if you drive 'over the top' is pretty special as the vistas gradually open up to the west as you come across. The Shearers' quarters are clean and tidy ..well appointed and comfortable with fab cooking facilities and great hot showers. Access to some wonderful walks on the property with astonishing views across to Aoraki. Alana is clearly very proud of her business and is a warm engaging host. Just be aware...you are WELL OFF the beaten track here. That's the joy of Mt Cook Shearers' quarters.

This mobile home features a fireplace. Boasting a private entrance, this air-conditioned mobile home features 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. The park is in a beautiful setting. The bathrooms, showers and communal kitchen/lounge area were all very clean and well-maintained. We were in a cabin that was very comfortable. The nature walk is definitely worth doing and leads to very impressive waterfall.

Rabbit Island Glamping sits privately from Rabbit Island Huts accessed via its own walk bridge. The glamping tent was awesome. Secluded spot, away from the rest of the accomodation. The view was amazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Really cosy room and comfy bed. As the name describes it (glamping), the room is very small but the bed is comfy and the linen was really nice. The description lists the accommodation as a shared bathroom but I had it all to myself (along with kitchenette and laundry) which was certainly nice for this solo traveller! I later learnt that for the moment, the individuals or group who have booked have exclusive use of the bathroom which you’re not sharing it with strangers (there are two other glamping cabins). Everything was immaculately clean. The accommodation is on the edge of town but I liked the location as it’s closer to the coast and a swimming spot. Communication with the owner was fab, she even suggested a few dinner spots which was thoughtful.

Amazing tiny home in an awesome quiet, peaceful and elevated location with spectacular views down Akaroa harbour. 15 min drive into Akaroa but the tranquil peaceful location is magic. Accomodation is on a lavender farm and there are walking trails and full access to the rows of lavender. Lyn and Malcolm were exceptional hosts! Very friendly, kind and at tentative to our needs. Make sure to purchase some pacific blue lavender essential oil! Nice touches in the tiny house - with cushions that showcase the indigenous pigeons the place is named after and lavender water spray. Note that the toilet is a cassette toilet - this was not a problem for us - but it may be a surprise to others

The pool with a view and spa bath are the standout features of this tent. Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and kitchenware in the well-fitted kitchen. Luxury, peace and quiet, huge bed, spa,view , breakfast the owner is lovely and very friendly, the most relaxing part of our holiday.

We had a fantastic few nights staying at Pinot! The view was beautiful and the dome very comfortable. Sandy and Steve were wonderful hosts and brought us delicious breakfasts in the morning - the cheese scones were a highlight. Super relaxing stay!
