Elizabeth was so helpful she made our entire trip to Chalten. We stayed at Mi Rincon the first night we arrived in Chalten before starting our hike. We had planned a 3-day/2-night trek to see the major sites around Chalten and when we arrived Elizabeth went through the entire advanced weather forecast with the paid satellite weather website she uses for the area. There was some rain expected during our trek so she helped us adjust the route to better line up our times at the major sites with the highest chances of good weather. It made a huge difference, we were able to coordinate the rainy times with less interesting hikes and used the good weathe windows to hit Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre. She also stored an extra suitcase for us after we checked out for the duration of our hike. Thanks Elizabeth we owe you for some great photos we got out of it!

It was a nice little hike to reach this hut right at the base of the glacier, but it was even more beautiful in person that we could have expected. The room was quiet and comfortable and the hosts went above and beyond to make us comfortable and relaxed. Every meal was incredible and this was the perfect place to stay for a day of rest and feeling at home between stretches of hiking.

After a rich breakfast buffet, pick a book in the library and relax by the fireplace. The dining room, which is located in the main ancient house, provides delicious dishes prepared with a variety of local products at lunch and dinner times.

La Quinta is a little slice of heaven in the quaint town of El Chaltén. We cannot say enough about their help finding the best hikes, packing lunches, and providing the most relaxing spot a little outside of town (but not too far like some estancias we looked at!). It is a truly family run business and we 100% will be back!!

This was a great place to stay! The apartment was really nice and spacious, bed was comfy and the little breakfast tray for each morning well stocked and plentiful. But the real stars were the staff, with Andrea and Dardo super helpful with advice for the town and trekking and food recommendations and for getting things sorted like taxis etc... I would 100% recommend staying here!

Very good location, a short walk from the bus station, no taxi necessary, if you're up for rolling your luggage down the street or sidewalk for about 5 to 10 minutes. Front desk staff Diana and Augustina were very friendly and helpful, they gave us good info about the town, restaurants and the hikes. Included breakfast was adequate. Room was quiet. FYI, This place is basically a hostel for budget conscious travellers, many of whom had rooms with shared bathrooms.

The hostel has great facilities you can use after check out (e.g. showers if you’re coming back after a hike). We were moved next door to a different hotel, but it was equally nice (and quiet). They also provide lunch boxes for 8,000 pesos each.
