The entire Palmas coast is just beautiful, and the location is perfect if you want to do trails that will take you to beautiful beaches, and also its close to Abraao which is the center of the island where you have the shopping center and many restaurants. Palmas is really a hidden gem, I got to speak with the locals and really understand the history of the island. This is a mom and pop shop, so you will really enjoy the cozy service and hospitality. This is a getaway from a getaway, a tiny pousada (about 9 rooms) that's a 10-minute boat ride from the tiny main village on a beautiful island. The ride is (currently) free and arrives promptly when you call the good-hearted "sailor." The room is large and comfortable, the bathroom is enormous, the grounds are pretty, and you can't beat sitting on the private veranda looking over the little bay.
