If you want to stay in an old traditional house right in the middle of the Latin Quarters of Fontainhas, that’s the place! The terrace is amazing, full of beautiful plants. Jeanette and her family are the best, helped me with absolutely everything, from booking car transfers to preparing the breakfast earlier before walking tours! I would definitely stay here again!

I have no words for this stay, but I will try to find! We were given a beautiful and really big room with colonial furniture and a small balcony with garden view and a lovely rocking chair. Everything in the room was well thought of (comfortable bed, fridge with cool water, fan, air condition, base for two suitcases to rest, a very big wardrobe, a vanity table, good quality toiletries, even toothpaste and toothbrushes). The owner has very carefully selected the furniture (some belonged to his family as he shared with us) and really cares for the house (deliberately I call it house and not guest house) and for his guests. The couple who owns Hospedaria is so attentive with every little detail and always listens and tries to help with everything (tips for transport, money exchange, covid test, taxi, beaches to visit). The food offered for breakfast is based on local recipes and there is variety that satisfies all requirements and preferences (the garden is lovely for breakfast, but the dining room is also very cosy with paintings of local artists and there is even an old sewing machine made into table). Cleanliness was immaculate all over Hospedaria Abrigo de Botelho and the location is absolutely charming. Lots of restaurants, shops, churches nearby, so close to the centre, but calm during night and generally a very vibrant and colourful neighbourhood to stay.

Deric was the perfect host and the kindest person we encountered in the whole of Goa! Clear and prompt communication with really great suggestions of what to do and where to go. As two female travelers, we felt exceptionally well looked after and very safe. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable and secure. Thank you Deric! 😊 🙏

The property had a home away from home feel, the property is situated in a residential area which gives it a home feeling. The WiFi was always connected and on point, there was alway signal available and the property is also manned 24 hours of the day, food is available all day everyday and it’s very very tasty, home cooked food and restaurant standard food.

Location was good. It is near Caculo Mall where rickshaws available to go anywhere easily. Staff was so helpful and smiling. Facilities were in good condition and clean. We would prefer exactly if we visit Old Goa again.
