Guesthouse SHIGI is located in Nakatsugawa, 46 km from Gero Station, 24 km from Ōi, as well as 24 km from Enakyo Wonderland. Excellent. Assi, the host, was fantastic. The house is in reality much more beautiful than in the pictures!

Keiko is an excellent cook, turning out elaborate and delicious meals. The location was a great base for the hike from Magome to Tsumago.

Offering mountain views, Guesthouse Nedoko is an accommodation situated in Nakatsugawa, 21 km from Ōi and 21 km from Enakyo Wonderland. The location is perfect! Magome is very special and it felt very unique sleeping here and being there at night with no tourists. The design of the hotel is also very nice. Everything worked perfectly and the staff was very kind and helped us with dinner reservations and with local recommendations. The Nakansendo trail to Tsumago was a highlight of our trip and I totally recommend spending a night/s here to do it :)

Offering a garden and inner courtyard view, Guesthouse Gifu SUAI is situated in Gifu, 29 km from Nagoya Castle and 30 km from Nagoya Station. Hosts are friendly, warm, accomodating and attentive. Very clean and homely. Lively pets around, which was a welcomed change :) A 30 min walk from Gifu JR, hosts happily dropped us to the station at checkout. I believe you can organise pick up and drop off with the host. Regardless, a 30 min walk on flat ground is completely possible and should not deter anyone. However there is a local line which is 13 min walk from the house.

Offering a sun terrace and views of the garden, Tajimi Guest House is set in the middle of nature, 3 km from Tajimi Station. It’s a quiet location, which is nice. First time in years that I have slept without earplugs. Good to know: you can not bathe at the guesthouse. I was a bit scared of using the Onsen at first, but ended up loving it. The hosts are such nice people. They made my stay even better, thank you so much.

Just a 2-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station and Takayama Nohi Bus Center, Guesthouse Tomaru offers an renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation. Great staff, great location. Enough comfort. Cosy feeling. Very peacefull sleeping over night.
