A great traditional guest house for travellers! The host is very kind, the place is beatiful and warm. There is a nice common area on the ground floor where you can eat and chat with other guests. The place is very clean. It is located in Samegai, which is a very small town, with no noise and very calm. Quite easy to reach Kyoto from here. Great place!

Such attention to details - hooks conveniently located, lights at all the right places and all of them are dimmable from a remote control. Very clever use of space to fit in all the amenities. I enjoyed spending time in my room! The common spaces are wonderful too - a brand new pool table at the dining area. Miyu and her husband are very hardworking and talented. I feel so lucky to have been their guest. Highly recommend Koke Musu:Inn to all travellers with a sense of adventure. The inn is a short 15-min walk from the station and is just across Lake Biwa. There are many eateries nearby, as well as convenience stores and supermarkets. Perfect place to spend a few days.

Guesthouse En is a holiday home situated in Maki, Shiga. The nearest station is JR Omi-Hachiman Station, located a 12-minute drive away. A microwave and a toaster can be found in the kitchen. We loved everything 💜 ❤️ Quaint, old house, beautifuly furnished. 6 byclyes available to use during your stay. Beautiful countryside, lovely village 15 mins cycle away....we are not into cycling but really enjoyed it, that say a lot !!! Amazing bamboo forest 10 mins cycling towards village, empty re people....beats any bamboo groove in Kyoto, absolutely STUNNING!!!!! We bought food and cooked at the house. Lots of fresh beef !!!! I can't rate this place highly enough............we stayed end of November, so also had wonderful colours of autumn leaves. We were met at the station, taken to the house and explained in perfect English, how to operate heating, door locks etc...... The owner then took us back to the station....and what surprised us was, he waited till we got into the station and waved us goodbye. 👋 Perfection 🥰 💞 🥰 to the end of a most memorable stay we will never forget. Ps, 2 nights is not enough....stay longer if you can

Perfect location to visit the countryside of Japan. This is the real Japan with Koi carpers swimming in river-like gutters and friendly helpfull villagers. On top of this, Kyoto is only half an hour away by train. We came for a nice, relaxing place to stay but got a family who was so warm and welcoming. Mizu, the hostess of Smile guesthouse is a very kind and helpful person who speaks good English. She helped and guided us to make our stay even better. The guest house is a traditional Japanese house. Beautiful and full of details. And next to that you can eat fresh strawberries at the Tanaberry farm, which is a 8 minutes walking distance. We can recommend everyone to stay here. As we immediately extended our stay the day we arrived and are planning to definitely stay again the next time we travel to Japan.

Guesthouse Shin se află în Ōmihachiman, la aproximativ 37 km de Templul Enryaku-ji și la 38 km de Templul Sanzen-in. My wife and I are not young folks anymore. The trip to the bathroom during the night was somewhat difficult for us. The bedroom was on the upper floor in the lovely traditional Japanese house. The narrow stairway was challenging for us. There is ample room downstairs and perhaps owners would accommodate a request to put the bedding there.

くつき鯖街道 古民家cocco小入谷 se află în Takashima, la aproximativ 37 km de Templul Sanzen-in și la 44 km de Rurikoin. A very quiet traditional home in. remote hinterland of Biwako. Kuniyo-san was very nice, welcoming and friendly. Her cooking was amazing, totally delicious and beautiful washoku. when I asked for vegetarian washoku, she made me amazing dishes with local ingredients. She even dropped me off to the train station. Totally recommended!

Farm stay inn Sanzaemon-tei 母屋GuestHouse Shiga-Takasima Traditional Japanese architecture house se găsește în Takashima, la aproximativ 50 km de Templul Sanzen-in și la 27 km de Omimaiko Beach. It really did feel like staying at my grandparents house in Japan. The staff were so friendly, kind and intentional and the food prepared for us in the morning was phenomenal.
