CFS Azores Guest House bevindt zich in Ponta Delgada, op 18 minuten lopen van Praia de São Roque en 1,8 km van Praia das Milicias. All was great, but the most greatest thing is staff. This is the first hotel where you can be driven to the city centre for free just because of unlimited kindness of personal, especially, Filipe! Furthermore, during our stay my brother had strong allergic reaction and we didn’t have a medicine for that. Despite the late time and celebration of Christmas, Filipe drove us to farmacy, helped us to find a medicine and drove us back to hotel. We will not forget such happiness and extremely recommend visit this hotel!

Olive Boutique Guesthouse bevindt zich in Vila Franca do Campo, op 5 minuten lopen van Praia do Corpo Santo en 500 meter van Praia da Vinha da Areia. Super vriendelijk personeel die heel hard werken om het jou als gasten zo veel mogelijk naar de zin te maken. Kamers brandend schoon, iedere ochtend heerlijk ontbijt en fijn dat het beschikt over een zwembad. Daar hebben wij dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt na de soms pittige wandelingen.

Solar de Santo André heeft een buitenzwembad, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge en een terras in Ponta Delgada. Deze accommodatie heeft familiekamers en een barbecue. Prachtige b&b. Wij hadden het appartement wat zeer smaakvol is ingericht en aan de tuin ligt. Boven een grote slaapkamer met badkamer en beneden een bedbank met keukenblok en terras. Tuin met zwembad is zeer relaxed met klein keukentje (ook al mooi ingericht) met honesty bar. Oude huis ook fantastisch om te zien. Ontbijt hebben we helaas niet mee gemaakt omdat we vroeg weg moesten maar er stond wel een eenvoudig ontbijt klaar. Ligging is prima in het centrum. Alles is mooi in deze b&b!

Casa-do-Mar ligt in Madalena en heeft een tuin, een gedeelde lounge, een terras, en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Deze accommodatie heeft een gedeelde keuken en een speeltuin. Victor was very kind and accommodating! Breakfast was great, location was great and property was very nice

DMCharme is gelegen in Ponta Delgada, op 12 km van Pico do Carvão en beschikt over een gedeelde lounge, een terras en uitzicht op de stad. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing, close to all the points of interest, shops and bars. Especially good if you don’t rent a car. The rooms and common areas were very spacious.

Farol Guesthouse is gelegen in Angra do Heroísmo, op 13 minuten lopen van Praia do Negrito, en biedt accommodatie met een gedeelde lounge, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. The fact that the lady that runs the place was very nice to us went all the way to make us feel at home specially when she left us 2 boxes with breakfast things so we could have breakfast before we left she was the best if I ever go back I will definitely try to stay there

Convenient location in São Roque, 20-30 min walk to Ponta Delgada downtown. Around 10 min walk to grocery store and some restaurants. Studio is quite small, but comfortable, very clean and well equipped. Kitchen is nice for preparing basic meals. The terrace is fantastic, overlooking the ocean and gets a lot of sun. Pool towels are great to take with you to hot springs.

Estrela do Atlântico heeft een tuin, een terras, een bar en gratis WiFi, en ligt in Horta, op minder dan 1 km van Praia da Conceição en 2,8 km van Praia do Porto Pim. Het pension heeft familiekamers. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in 45 years of travel. Artistic and funky but also warm, friendly and totally unpretentious. The hotel is an old style property, airy and light with big windows and views to the Pico volcano. It is like a gem of an oasis amidst more recent development on the edge of town, but is only ten mins walk down to the big square and port. Breakfast in the spacious dining room is exceptional and the ladies who run the hotel are charming and helpful. We had the extra benefit and unexpected bonus of the Suite, which was like having your own flat with a terrace! There are some trendy restaurant options down the hill with good food - but rather pricey wine, but we found a couple of traditional older places (Medalhas & Lima) that we liked. For whale-watching, Naturalist are a good science-based outfit and if you are short of time or transport they do an excellent half day island tour too - very informative and not touristy. You can do both in one day!
