Offering mountain views, A Tendinha - Guest House is an accommodation located in Peso da Régua, 1.1 km from Douro Museum and 14 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. This guesthouse was very stylish and thoughtfully appointed. It had everything we needed and welcome glasses of port and sweets were provided. A nice touch. It was located on the first floor by a staircase above a very popular pasteleria which is where breakfast was served. This was one of the best breakfasts we have had and staff could not have been more helpful in ensuring we had everything we wanted during our 2 night stay. Car parking was very easy and convenient and free which was an added bonus. The guesthouse is also close to the train station We highly recommend A Tendinha to anyone staying in Peso da Regua who can manage a short flight of stairs.

Quinta da Menina Guest House is situated in Vila Real, 35 km from Douro Museum, 46 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, and 8.6 km from Mateus Palace. What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

I stayed in many places. I have never met expensive coffee machines, sound bars with subwoofers, and collectible vintage radios for guests. All kitchenware matches by color. Complimentary cake, fruits and Porto vine are offered. Places and where to eat recommendations are printed. The host is amazing. Everything is made with love.

Featuring mountain views, Casa dos 4 Caminhos - Guest House Douro features accommodation with patio, around 1.3 km from Douro Museum. Location , apartment was huge and the parking was private and great and owners were fabulous.

Zimão Garden House is located in Vila Real, 30 km from Natur Waterpark, 31 km from Golf Course Vidago Palace, and 43 km from Douro Museum. Quiet place with great confort in a fully renovated house. Small details in the decoration made it unique and unforgettable, the host was very helpful and her two cats really made the end of my trip worthwhile.

Located within 12 km of Longroiva Hot Springs and 40 km of São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casa dos Primos provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Muxagata. We liked the warm welcome and the excellent hospitality provided by Miguel and Teresa. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast was delicious with homemade and/or locally-sourced produce. The room was simply but tastefully furnished and comfortable. Facilities for self-catering provided. Highly recommended!

Featuring a garden and views of city, Casa do Hospital-Guest House is a homestay situated in a historic building in Abaças, 7.3 km from Natur Waterpark. We loved this place - the views, the history. the spaciousness of our room, the beautiful antiques throughout, and especially our times with Carlos and Paula. We loved the town - so charming and picturesque. This was a highlight of our whole trip.
