The architecture is gorgeous, the place peaceful and the staff were so warm and hospitable, always ready with any help or information you might need. Even if you come without planning for a driver or tour, they would be able to arrange and it is slightly better priced than some online portals. The location is on a quiet street which is great for us. The breakfast is a wonderful spread which is served as an individual set in the courtyard garden when you are ready. Don't miss this! We had different menus on the 2 days we stayed.

We were there for 3 nights and each morning was a different delicious and beautifully presented breakfast. The location was ideal for walking to the sites. Other than morning prayer at 4:45, it’s a very quiet location.

The owners are super friendly and kind, help us with the tours and they made an incredible local breakfast for us. The house is in the middle of the neighbourhood, so we could feel part of it, that was awesome. We’ll miss them, hope to come back to the same place

The interior is lovely, they have a common area where you can rest and eat. The room is clean and has everything you need. The staff are really friendly and are always happy to help!!

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of mountain, Blue Garden Yogyakarta is a recently renovated guest house located in Yogyakarta, 11 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!
