Located in the heart of Calgary, a daily breakfast and continuous free coffee and tea is provided at HI-Calgary City Centre. This is an excellent facility in central Calgary. Room (we had a private room) was clean, comfortable, safe and airy. Facilities (shared space, kitchen, entertainment) all very good. Breakfast had a reasonable choice and good communal 'help yourself, tidy up after yourself' vibe. But mostly, it was the staff who were extremely, unreasonably and unexpectedly accommodating and helpful when we had an inbound delay and gave helpful advice at check-in and -out. Can't fault it.

Set amid the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, this hostel boasts an on-site cafe and 2 self-catering guest kitchens. It includes private storage for guests and acts as a ski pass vendor. i did not expect the place to look more than a hostel. more than the usual hostel that i've been too. And good location so you're nearer to Lake Moraine and Lake Louise.

Located 90 km north of Lake Louise in a wilderness setting, this hostel features a common kitchen. Snowshoes are provided for guest use. Ice climbing opportunities surround this property. I had a wonderful time experiencing this wilderness hostel. The place and surroundings is beautiful and very well equipped.
