Everything was tidy and Clean. Great oppportunity to meet other travellers from all over the world. Nearby train & Bus Station, Supermarket and Restaurants.

Was a nice quiet hostel by Lake Toya and only a minute walk to the village and lakefront. I went when it was quiet in the town so I had a whole room to myself. There’s also a restaurant on the bottom floor which is open until late and the staff are very friendly had a nice long conversation with them and felt very welcomed! Good facilities too: shower, bath, fridge and sauna!

HELIO HOSTEL SAPPORO ตั้งอยู่ในจุดที่เดินทางสะดวกในเขต Sapporo City Centre ของซัปโปโร โดยอยู่ห่างจากสถานีรถไฟชิน-ซัปโปโร 13 กม. ห่างจาก Otarushi Zenibako City Center 20 กม. และห่างจากสถานีโอตารุ 36... Modern hostel in a good location. From the minute I entered I got a good impression, staff were extremely friendly and checked me in easily and gave me a thorough explanation of where everything was etc. The room was clean and the bed was very spacious and comfy especially for a hostel bed! Face and body towels were both provided which is always a bonus! The shower room was on a different floor which I thought was strange as you had to walk through the lounge/kitchen area to access them… yet the showers were clean and worked well. Oh and also … there were even straighteners and curlers in the shared washroom outside the showers! The washroom area in our room was very clean and the air freshener in the toilets smelt amazing!

The place was super cosy, modern and especially clean. There is a restaurant called Tomoni located within the premises and it serves delicious local food. the staff are especially attentive and polite too.

Everything was perfect for us. However, upon talking to other people who were staying at the same location, we were shocked to find out that there was no air conditioning in their room. This made their stay extremely uncomfortable. We had air conditioning in our room. When I brought it up with management, they said that some rooms have it and some rooms don’t. It is then very important when you book to ask for a room With air conditioning, if that is important to you.
