Opened in April 2013 with brand new facilities, Piece Hostel Kyoto is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from JR Kyoto Station. It features a spacious and comfortable lounge, a tatami (woven-straw) terrace and a wall-size map with latest event information around Kyoto. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property, while portable WiFi devices are available for guests to use during their stay for an additional fee.

Private rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV and a washbasin. A semi-double size bunk (120cm wide) in the dormitory rooms comes with a luggage space and a security locker. Amazing hostel! Common spaces were beautiful and functional, while rooms were practical and comfy. Shower facilities well thought out and practical too. Wish I was able to stay longer!!

The female-only property is close to several noted attractions, around 1.2 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum and around 1.3 km from Heian Shrine. Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 1.8 km from the hostel. The location was perfect, a short walk from the centre and right next to a train station. The room was so cute, the design was beautiful and a very cosy little room.

A safety deposit box is provided for storing valuable belongings. The shared kitchen comes with a microwave, fridge and an electric kettle. All rooms are air-conditioned, and smoking is not allowed. Private rooms feature a tatami (woven-straw) floor and traditional futon bedding. Towels and toiletries are only provided, while shared bathroom facilities are gender separated. Yuki is an amazing host and the guest house has everything you could ask for, including a common use room and kitchen with fridge, freezer, gas stove, water filter, etc. Washing machine is outside. If you want to go to a bathhouse, there will be bags with soap as well as yukatas you can take with you. I made lots of use of the bicycles you can rent at no cost during your stay. The surroundings are quiet and relatively close to temples and nature walkways. The next subway station is about 15 mins on foot.

Offering rooms in a traditional Japanese-style building, Guesthouse ITOYA Kyoto is a 7-minute walk from the Horikawa Imadegawa Bus Station. Imadegawa Train Station is a 17-minute walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the building. Wonderful experience. I couldn't imagine better choice than this one. Spent 4 days in Kyoto and the place was awesome to come back and rest. We loved the location. It's in a beautiful valley of the Kyoto prefecture. Far away from hectic city. The perfect place to reflect and do some daytrips (by car). Make sure to taste the chef's menu (reservation required).
